I’ve been married before and tbh, I don’t see any benefits to that transaction. It’s not a commitment. In my mind it’s a transaction and the only who who stands to benefit (in my particular situation) is the other party. At my age I really wonder if these HVM actually exist. I think the best I can do is be aware and manage them. At least this is what I do today. I know their ego is a very fragile thing. So I just need to be smarter than them and navigate around it.
