I have always felt that deleting photos off Fb or Ig Is giving it too much thought. If the ex notices they will know that you dedicated brain power and time to go through and delete photos. So I just leave them as is, and make new memories and take new pictures.

Yeah it sucks, and it will suck for a while longer. Concentrate on you and start building the life you want.

Met when I was 25 and she was 19. Married when I was 34. Separated at 37. Need to be separated for 12 months before we can divorce. Reading some of the stories on here, I think I got off easy. She came home one day and said it was over, I cried, lay on the floor for a few days and then moved out and got on with it. Yeah it suck’s having to rebuild a life from scratch. But the universe does not care about you and will continue to go on. So do what you can and keep going, one step at a time.

It gives your ego a bit of a beating. I have recently tried Hinge and seem to be having a bit more success there

Honestly, its not as bad as I thought it would be. Iv been on it for a month and its mostly people matching and either exchanging 3 messages or not chatting at all.

2) I thought that tinder had an option where you could import your contacts and it would automatically not show those people to you. 4) Omg yes!!

That seems like something you should report to the hospital. That is bull shit, no health care professional should ever talk like that to a patient

moving out, into an apartment, and trying to completely decouple 15+ year mingled finances comes with some bumps Im in the middle of this exact thing right now, and im surprising myself how well im handling things and getting things done. Yeah I might not have the cheapest home loan rate going, yeah I might pay $5 more for internet. But I made those decisions and I got things organised.

The sentence that hurt me the most was when my ex said: I regret introducing you to my new friends. backstory: we moved early last year to a new town for her work.

I have been separated for about a month, jumped onto Tinder and Bumble out of pure loneliness, potentially going on a date this coming weekend, don't really know how il feel afterwards. Only one way to find out I guess.

It really sucks, and it will be a bit of roller coaster for a while. Let yourself feel all the emotions of the highs and the lows.

Im separated, and I jumped onto tinder/bumble very quickly but that was because I am so lonely and have no one to talk to, and not being very successful at the whole online dating thing either. I would not advise going this route.

Just make sure that you enjoy what ever your brought. Dont let it become a thing that every time you look at it remind you of your divorce. p.s what did you get?

My ex and I have the same size feet, so we shared socks. When I left I didn't pack any so had to go buy some socks. I know its a very small detail but I still got choked up in the store when I realised that these were going to be my socks and she will never wear them.
