How could the house truly represent all the concerns of various communities of minorities both racial, sexual, and those in different socioeconomic classes, let alone women, if it were entirely composed of well-off white men? There is a mechanism in place to ensure that the interests of those elected aligns with the interests of those being represented: voting. Their qualification is the people's support for them.
