Maybe it's all a part of the stereotype that "Men can take it cause they're tougher". I agree with you that it's wrong to attempt to make it acceptable for women, but to cling to the shaming of men for their sexuality. It needs to be more of a fight for gender equality. Not "women get a 'redo' but men have to remain stuck with all the negative trappings associated with their gender". I'm more curious as to how, as a society, do we break these habits? Perhaps you're over-simplifying things? I think you're (understandably) upset with the hypocrisy some feminists, and many others who do not consider themselves to be feminists, exhibit.
