My best argument against male privilege is that gender is just not the most important axis over which society divides itself. Wealth/class is a far more accurate determinant of your social treatment and outcomes in most cases.

What does "natural state of affairs" even mean though? Does it mean that we should "go back" to treating men like they're disposable? Just put the men in the dangerous situations/jobs/roles? Like I am just trying to understand what you think natural state means.

I think a better question would be, how can American men better evaluate and select their marriage partners? The juice definitely isn't worth the squeeze if the person you're married to is unpleasant, unreasonable, not financially stable, and doesn't share your values. If you choose a partner who cares for you, aligns on what is important, shares the same parenting beliefs, has a good career, and manages money responsibly, the odds of divorce decrease dramatically. "Society" is a really big thing, my friend. I'm not here to invalidate your emotions--you probably have good cause to feel the way you do. But the world is big. Consider traveling, or even moving, if it's feasible for you. I think if you go and meet new people in a new area, some of your cynicism might begin to fade. :)

Correct, and this is why I kind of roll my eyes when the circumcision issue is brought up here. I don't like male circumcision, but it is just not honest to compare it to FGM. They are related, but ultimately very different beasts

Lol! Same exact thing happened to me! And when I told them that I was a woman and a feminist, they shot back some BS like "women can't support men's rights! Misogynist! Self-hater!" etc etc. I give up on feminist groups on the internet. They promote narrow thought, censorship, and double standards.
