This article is clickbait trash and the author constantly contradicts herself. I find myself agreeing with her observations throughout, only to vehemently disagree with the mental gymnastics she goes through right after. What a dingus. It does feel like men are walking on eggshells around me and I hate that. It’s a major reason I don’t date anymore. One guy actually asked me for consent to kiss me at the end of our date. I immediately lost all interest. Wtf have we done?

I’ve had coworkers instinctively hold doors open for me and then immediately apologize and say, “I’m sorry, I know you’re perfectly capable of opening doors, I meant no disrespect.” I immediately let them know that I DO NOT take offense to that and no one should and it’s just a nice thing to do for someone, then proceed to hold the next door open for them. I agree the word “toxic” is unproductive. To me, there are positive and negative tropes associated with both sexes, or maybe strengths and weaknesses are better terms. And it’s important that we acknowledge all sides for balance. Masculine strengths might be assertive, protective, decisive, practical, etc. while weaknesses might be aggressive, violent, controlling, unavailable, etc. Feminine strengths could be intuitive, compassionate, nurturing, vulnerable, etc. while weaknesses could be manipu…

Do you think the recent examples of Amber Heard and Jada Pinkett Smith in the mainstream consciousness represent toxic femininity?

FWIW I actually disagree that you would be the dominant partner indefinitely. Turning him down once didn’t make you dominant over him then, you simply chose not to give him your submission. There’s definitely a difference. Submission is something that is determined by you and only you and it is something that you choose to give every day. You don’t just choose it once and you’re stuck with that forever. It’s a commitment you have to maintain. The same is true in reverse. Personally, I would simp…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
