I actually had a breakdown before my uncle’s wedding. It was horrible. And it’s so cool that you were into the midcentury style. My “feminine” style was pulled from the 60s and 70s. Sometimes I reached into the early 2000s.

I realize now that there is no need to put up a front. It’s not like I didn’t get compliments on the way I dressed. I actually kinda get more when I’m in my natural style. I think people can sense my comfort and it’s so much easier to pick up an outfit I like.

It was the first sign that he was a narcissist. Like really?? You have to control her style? It seemed like he thought of her as some kind of sex doll.

I really think the channels that focus on fitting a narrow idea of femininity to appeal to rich men are toxic. 9 times out of 10 they are fatphobic, colorist, racist, misogynistic, or all of the above.

Lawrence from Insecure. He sucks. Bum that sat around on the couch all day while Issa takes care of him and as soon as he leaves he gets a job.

Fried rice and Jesus Christ. I have a cousin that is dating a LVM who doesn’t take care of his child. How does your vagina even get wet for a man like that? I feel like my labia would shrivel up and my clitoris would jump off and run away.

This argument doesn’t really make sense to me. Her argument seems to be against “dating to marry”. There are even a few comments I forgot to screenshot from women pulling the whole “guys are more fun as friends than girls” card. It’s confusing. There may be a friend group with men and women but hanging out one-on-one isn’t considered normal. And when a man wants to spend time outside of the group 9/10 it is an attempt to try something more. I’ve witnessed it throughout college. In fact, my frien…

I think her point was a woman should have a man that actually adds value. Why would you have a man that watches you pump your gas when there are men who would buy you a car?I'm too busy and I work too hard to spend time with a man who is just taking up space. Of course it is important to be able to maintain your lifestyle independently. But I'm not turning down someone paying off my student loans (my uncle did this for his wife) or buying me my dream car (he also did this for his wife) or giving…

I have this idea that an app should only allow a person to talk to 5 people at a time. You can't swipe when your roster is full. The person who initiates the conversation is allowed to "shoot their shot" with an introduction. You can't add someone new without deleting someone on your roster. You can't add anyone new without them approving and deleting someone on their roster. You can't add them again once they are deleted. I feel like part of the issue with OLD is men believing they have an endl…

99% of them are lying. I only know ONE succesful couple that came from online dating. They are actually the most stable and loving couple I know in our age group, They met on Hinge at the beginning of the pandemic and he showed he was high value even with distance between them. It taught me to block them if they don't come out the gate ready to show you why they are worth your time and what they are doing with the time they have.

Really needed this today. My thoughts sat on a seesaw. "Maybe he'll say something" teeter. "I have to show him I am doing so much better" totter. Then I read this post. "He has never said anything. Even in the moments when I needed it most. Even when I looked him in the eyes and asked for it. If I'm constantly waiting for him to say something, do something, am I really even better?" balance. So I blocked him. There wasn't anything there for me anymore. There was never anything there for me in th…

They are both evil greedy people who built empires on the backs of the poor. "humanitarian, philanthropist, attractive, smart, accomplished, intelligent" yeah oooook sure. They are both low value.

I also ended up in a situationship that accelerated the decline of my mental health and multiplied my insecurities. We stopped seeing each other and I slowly cut off all contact (I had to ask him to stop contacting me to "check up on me") and started taking therapy seriously. It helped so much. Now I'm really focused on finishing my degree and being mentally, physically, and financially healthy.

My friends are either Bella Hadid (tall model) or Doja Cat (petite and curvy with a BIG butt). I am the fat friend and I didn't receive attention until I went from a size 14 to a size 6/7. I was the same person. Still insecure, same hair, same makeup skills, same style. I seriously didn't realize I was smaller and kept buying clothes that were too big. The more weight I lost the more comments rolled in. I had men CHASING me and arguing with each other. Men that I knew for years suddenly stopped …

Let's say it together. 1 . . 2 . . 3! Rico Nasty. It was so disappointing because her original big hits (Key Lime OG, Poppin, Spaceships) had lyrics that didn't discuss males. When Block List started doing numbers it was interesting because she talked about just blocking men and never alluded to having sex with them. In the music video she literally uses a man, never has sex, and blocks him. Then the new album dropped and I could only listen to OHFR and Smack A B*tch. :( I can rock with STFU bec…
