I was at a 3 day music festival and didn't meet any girls in a non-platonic way. Now I WAS at a concert once where I fumbled an interaction with a girl that I just randomly stumbled into.

Not quite... I did approach and actually record interactions with over 100 girls on the street in 2023, and you would think it would have went well but I never got a date from any of them. And some of these conversations were 5-20+ minutes long too (one was 23 minutes but she did claim she was moving overseas...)

To WHOM am I sending these to? I have about 300 followers, maybe 60-70% are guys, and just about everyone else are girls from high school who are now married or people I volunteered with 6 years ago that don't live anywhere near me. But I agree with the second half of what you wrote.

I've spent over $400 on Hinge since February 15. 60+ matches, 1 phone number, 0 dates. Perhaps I should ask for a girl's number off the jump, but this is reality for me. From 2023-24, I did around 125-150 cold approaches and saved almost all of them with voice memos on my Apple Watch. The people I get recommended clicking that button are based on mutual followers, and at 29 many are married women or private accounts. I have a lot of friends that are 4+ years younger than me though, but I don't get suggested mutual friends by many of them because the networks are less connected.

Yeah, I mean as a 29 year-old guy, there's pretty much nothing here for me. I worked second shift in a laboratory with a bunch of dudes. I do live in an urban neighborhood with a bunch of bars and cafés around, but that doesn't help me during the week because everybody is at work when I'm not. I can't join any sports teams (run clubs) or do anything.

HAHA... I'm 6 almost 7 hours away. I've been to NYC twice, Toronto about 40-50 times with most coming in the last 3 years. Haven't gotten laid there, in fact I turn 29 in a week and have never been laid.

Unfortunately I will probably die not understanding how people get laid through Instagram. It's about as opaque of a process as the process for building a nuclear weapon. It's not actually a dating app, if you're not constantly meeting people like at college or something (I'm 29) I can't understand how this would work.

Every time I'm at a concert, yes there could be single girls there but I also am surrounded by dudes back hugging their girls during the show. Initially they might not be standing together so the girl appears single but is actually not.

I mean I look 24 and I'm 28 so it is what it is... but the last weekend I approached like 8 or 9 girls here and was blown off after trying to start conversations. But last year I made out with a girl there. Still, I don't know where to go. I'm from Buffalo and only visit like once a month
