When I see this, all I can think is, "my god feminists and muslims are strange bedfellows."

I'm a tennis player. Used to be a really good one. It's no scandal... they are trying to sell tickets. If the men used the balls that the women use, you would see 50+ aces per match and the points/rallies would not develop... it would be boring. Also, please note that serve speed does not equal capability as a tennis player... it is literally one of the least important statistics out there. Physical fitness and endurance, at least at that high a level, is FAR more important. EDIT: Just read the …

Both Serena and Venus lost to a young (Dutch, I believe) player named Karsten Bosch. He was ranked 200 or 205 and beat them 6-0 and 6-1, respectively. I have played some low-level professional tennis (qualified for two futures tournaments over 10 years ago) and can attest that men playing women is not even close to fair. Anyone in the know would not argue this fact. EDIT: Karsten Braasch, and he was not young... you were right. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/karsten-braasch-vs-…

No. All sex is rape, or least I have been meant to believe. Everyone is a rapist or rapeey. Or you've never had sex.

I absolutely do not think that, in this case, this woman should be punished. However, if it can be proven that she falsely accused him of rape, she should be prosecuted. It's as simple as that. Attempting to get an innocent person put in jail for many years is not something that should go unpunished... but only if it can be proven. If I had my way, nobody would ever get raped, and nobody would ever get wrongly imprisoned. Unfortunately, this means that we would need a very thorough and capable l…

Of course. But everyone stands by that, even the much hated feminists. They oppose false rape reports as much as anyone, as it destroys everything they have tried to build. This is not true. Everyone SHOULD understand it, but that doesn't mean everyone DOES. I've even heard some prominent feminists say openly that men should not get due process in rape cases.

Wait a second. The prosecutor refused to prosecute due to insufficient evidence? I'd like to pat him (or her) on the back. Also, this Jane Doe, inc. feminist group sounds remarkably reasonable. Remember, not all feminists are insane nazis.

Are you sure you're a feminist? I thought you were supposed to never speak about any advantages that women have over men. Anyway, If all feminists were as open-minded as you, there probably wouldn't be a men's rights sub-reddit. Also, I would like to thank you for your comments... a bit lengthy, but interesting... so I read them all. Why do people join these hateful men's rights groups? Because they don't like feminism Yup. That's why I got involved. And I do have my reasons to dislike feminism. In my opinion, she's right... there are some pretty misogynistic folks on here, as well as some who seem to be overly sensitive (I would argue that it's quite a bit worse on the feminist's side, though). I, for one, am grateful that she's even TRYING to understand men's issues... as MRA's we should be appreciative. If more feminists were like smischmal, we would be closer to true gender equality. Women do have the 'equivalent' of testicles... I believe they are called ovaries. I believe that if you punch a female in the lower abdominal region where their ovaries are, it produces a similar effect to kicking a man in the testicles. Neither is funny to me, for the record.

It works both ways. Misandry gives feminism a bad name and misogynists give MRA's a bad name. I hope one day the wedge that divides the genders will dissolve and we can all live in a fair and safe society when it comes to gender.

Very interesting reply. I will say that a very good friend of mine is a lawyer (she practices worker's rights cases, so not really related). She graduated first in her class at Washington University, and she believes that men often get a bad shake in cases where they are accused of rape. That being said, I would absolutely abhor seeing a woman who was raped have to see her attacker go free. That would be awful. It's not something I have thought much about, but that will now change. I've always b…

So, you're saying that it WOULD be horrifying in men were denied due process in rape cases? Well, then, be horrified, because it is standard operating procedure in courtrooms all over the country. If you were interested in finding the truth and not just reverting to the knee jerk reaction that men are the exclusively privileged gender, you would be better equipped to get men to join you in your cause to stop rape. After all, don't we need men and women to work together and create a society that …

I try very hard to be unbiased and see the truth. I despise rapists and would work hard to make sure men guilty of rape are held accountable. That being said, I do believe that due process is owed to EVERYONE accused of a crime. My stance as an MRA is certainly not that rape is ok, I just don't believe that discarding due process and seeing many innocent men imprisoned simply because of being accused is a fair (or even effective) price to pay for preventing rape. Perhaps one day the wedge betwee…

I've been in dialogue with the mother. She certainly seems authentic to me. That paired with the details of the case from public record that match her story, have convinced me of the authenticity of the story. Still, I respect your right to be skeptical.

I don't sweat it. Just feminists coming in here trying put up smoke and mirrors so that reality is skewed in the favor of their perspective. Can't blame 'em. Wish I had the option to simply accuse somebody of a horrible crime and have them sent away just because they irritated me (actually, what kind of foul person would want that right? Well, we know the answer).

I discussed with the person who wrote the comment. It is a 100% true and did happen (not saying that her account is 100% accurate, but it sure seems to be). Happened in 1998/1999 (case was early 1999) in Seattle. I don't think she wants people to know names and such, so, please take my word for it. Edit: no details are given, so here is the case that is being discussed.

Yep. Feminists that I've run into would just want this story to go away.
/r/MensRights06/10/11 02:29 AM

This, to me, is at the very top of the list of important men's rights issues. Any reasonable feminist (and I know they are few and far between) should be able to be easily convinced that this is too great a price to pay to attempt to prevent rape (I am referring to the due process that is thrown out the window in rape cases). This is exactly the type of story that needs to get more play, IMO.

"I am very disturbed about the episode where "The Talk" ladies went on a laughing spree about a man whose penis was cut off. Frankly, I am offended, shocked, and want an apology. There is a difference between justice and sick revenge. I believe the women on the show advocated sick revenge, torture, and overall immaturity. Done. Also wrote and email and copied it to all of the higher ups at CBS. The email I wrote is as follows (please do not copy verbatim - use your own words if you choose to write the executives at CBS). Dear Sirs, I want to discuss an episode of "The Talk" that aired on July 14th, 2011. On this episode, the hosts made light of a male victim who allegedly had his penis cut off by his wife, who then destroyed it in a garbage disposal. I am not contending that she was obligated to be sexual in any situation. She can do whatever she wants. Even if it means being scared of her own shadow (though she would only be scared of it if it had a dick, obviously).
/r/MensRights07/07/11 04:34 AM

Really?... Why? Because she is using the sexualization of herself to sell books. But you can't even politely ask her for coffee on an elevator because it "sexualizes" her. For the record, I wouldn't fuck that girl even after a bender at a bar that lasted 'till 4 AM.

You have helped me gain some insight into women being uncomfortable with male doctors, spectating doctors, and rotating doctors. I suppose women are more vulnerable than men, in some respects, and because of that, women have a harder time completely letting their guard down. I guess since I'm not uncomfortable with doctors doing whatever they need to do to me, I expected everyone else to be the same.
