I've seen both sides. On total BP friends it backfires every time. But there are friends who were already self-aware, self-respecting dudes with open minds. Learning Red Pill usually doesn't surprise them, but they still go through the "depressed-at-first then re-energized for conquest phase" and come out on top. TL;DR It depends on your buddy, and how you present the material. In the end you can only hand them the pill, they have to actually take it. And want to.

As a follow-up, since you took the time to respond I'll give you the feedback. I told Girl 1 that I could no longer meet Saturday and suggested meeting Friday instead. It worked. I was able to move Girl 1 to Friday and meet Girl 2 on Saturday. They're both now 'plates' according to your definition. Looking back in retrospect through each girls' perspective it would've blown up in my face had they met each other. Thanks again!

I asked a mod. He said FRs are fine as long as they hold to the core mission statement. Sometimes you'll see FRs (especially in r/seduction) that are a total waste of time and that's what we want to avoid in this sub. Cheers

How do you guys feel about LMR by way of "I'm on the rag"? This happened a bunch of times to me last summer. Same. I got married because that's what society and my family's paradigms had ingrained in me. Ex robbed me of many many years of my 20s, including college. Scratch that.... I robbed me b/c I was a total blue pill white knight mangina. BUT... Made it out alive w/o kids and couldn't be happier now that I'm free and still relatively young. TL;DR Do what you want. Fuck social norms.
