They have lots of free time and they're looking for reasons why they're suffering.

You're not unintelligent. You're fallible like all humans. Many extremely intelligent people fall into harmful ideologies. Just look at the genius engineers of the Nazis or the political geniuses of the USSR and Mao's China. It's not uncommon. Lack of intelligence isn't what causes humans to fall into these ideologies. It's lack of belonging in an existing community with purpose and met needs. So, my advice, try to be kind to yourself. It's not about intelligence.

Obviously yes. At the lower extremes of their trait bell curves (looks, intelligence, neurotypicalness) they will have similar struggles to the average man. But at the same level of those trait curves across genders, women will always have it easier until you get to top tier men where it will equalize or even favor the men.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/25 05:35 AM

Agree to disagree then. Our experiences may differ. But I think a lot of men feel the way I do, and I don't discount how detrimental to mental health feeling sexually neglected and powerless is. It compounds feelings of loneliness which can exist both in a validated and invalidated person.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 02:49 PM

That's the point. Everyone wants to feel validated. Sexual validation is literally the approval of the species for your genetic code. It's the power and permission to carry on your genes and be part of the broader social group as a valuable member. Most women have that validation in spades. Most men don't, and it's getting worse. I agree that validation doesn't fix loneliness. That being said, having validation and power in the sexual marketplace does make the feeling of loneliness far more tole…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 02:42 PM

I'm not arguing that skeezy and abusive attention does not exist. My main argument is the subconscious feelings of lack of power and worth and desirability and capability that comes from absolutely no attention/access to attention is more detrimental to mental health than the awareness and knowledge that tens, hundreds, maybe even thousands of men are available to get attention from and start qualifying at a moment's notice even if some of those will be deeply unpleasant and possibly traumatizin…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 02:28 PM

True. That doesn't sound pleasant. But I still believe my opinion is valid, which, boiled down, is that getting some attention, even if it's non-ideal, feels better to the subconscious sense of self-worth of a social animal (us) than getting absolutely no attention at all. Now, it seems like you're talking about abusive attention which exists but is not the entirety or the majority of the situation. That kind of attention is complicated as it is traumatizing as well as validating. And even for t…
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 02:25 PM

That's a false equivalency. The effect attention has on a person's subconscious experience of self is huge. It's easier to be lonely when you feel decent about yourself than when you feel like shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 02:21 PM

True, but we all know what it would be like if men and women died off at the same rate.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 10:18 PM

At equal attractiveness scales, they probably get more attention than 78 year old grandpas.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 08:41 PM

If a woman is legitimately ugly, then she will struggle similarly. If a woman is unwilling to use dating apps or social media to get attention, then she will struggle similarly. All things being equal, though, women at the same level of attractiveness of their gender's attractiveness bell curve as their male counterparts will get way more attention and downstream subconscious feelings of worth, belonging, opportunity, and desirability than said male counterparts. All that aside, I'm sorry you're…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/25 07:59 PM

The thing with male loneliness vs female loneliness is that there is a consolation prize for women in that they can get tons of attention and feel somewhat desirable even if it isn't by their ideal men. For most men, not only do their ideal women not like them, but no one pays attention to them at all, and that is a huge difference in subjective experience and how the environment impacts the felt sense of self.

I’m always aware of the orbiters. I called my ex out on hers and she let them all go. Then, when I broke up with her, she just got on tinder and had 500 likes within a few hours. She started telling me that she was going on dates with men she found way hotter than me and was sending nudes to one guy she said she had way better sexual chemistry with than me and who she thought would be better at sex than me (oh, and he was so good looking and fun that he made her anxious and no men, including me,…

I’m at that point as a man. My last gf was super hot, one of my ideals (thin model/dancer body, pretty face, fiery personality), and I’m rejecting women who I used to f because I want as good or better. Probably just need time to get over her, or I need to upgrade my own looks and self esteem in order to attract and feel good enough for women of that caliber. Lots of work to do.

The freer we get, the more selfish we get. Societal norms and conventions of the past definitely inflicted restrictions. But those things were all designed to curb the most selfish and indulgent of human impulses, things our current society has unleashed. Unless we are willing to compromise on the extreme freedoms and individualism that our society has embraced, there’s really no hope of these symptoms changing.

I think a lot of people have now experienced casual sex and find it unfulfilling. A lot of people are fed up with the messiness of hookup culture. A lot of people are realizing they want someone who hasn’t been around the block, who is trustworthy and stable. A lot of people are realizing that their desired women are succumbing to being used sexually by hotter men or their desired men are avoiding commitment to try to bang as many women as possible. A lot of people are just exhausted and uninter…

They can change but once they have done those things the capacity to do them again remains inside them forever. So even if they have decided to better themselves and turn a new leaf just remember that they could always use their old skills and proclivities for retaliatory purposes if they deem it necessary. Unsafe imo.

Honestly, for me, it just came with experience. I used to get upset but at some point I just stopped caring, probably because I came to realize that eventually I would find someone that was actually down and chasing the ones that weren’t was beyond pointless. I also got heavy into some hobbies and new identities that I loved which helped me care less. Finally, philosophically, it helped me when I really internalized the fact that reality is both deeply personal and deeply impersonal. Do with tha…

Read up on sexual performance anxiety. Very common and plenty of ways to work on it. The basic idea is to make sure you have built enough comfort and trust with the person so you can relax. Erections are arousal and relaxation. If you’re aroused but nervous it ain’t going to work well.
/r/seduction03/05/22 02:58 PM

Yes and no. I do feel less than and at a disadvantage when breaking up because my exes have a much easier time rebounding or finding a next relationship. On the other hand, at the time of breakup, I’m in no mental or emotional or sexual position to be doing either of those things so maybe it’s for the best. Worst case scenario, I have to work five times as hard to get the same results. Not a big deal if I’m motivated enough.

Exactly. You played the numbers game and you won. You also played the exposure therapy and experience building game and you won. It’s also important to note that a guy can shift his numerical rating value a point or two pretty easily by working out, updating style, having charisma, practicing socializing, and having interesting interests and hobbies.

I mean, this is just wrong. I’m anywhere from a 6 to an 8 out of 10 depending on the day and the woman’s perspective, and I can get numbers and lays from cold approach. It is a numbers game, like everything in this world.

Lots of different factors to sexual compatibility. These include frequency of desire, sexual style, activity preferences, kissing style, body fits, genetic draw (pheromones etc), sexual attitudes, emotional compatibility, sexual philosophies, etc etc. Caring about each other can be important but it is most definitely not everything.

1.) Cancel student loan debt and regulate college costs 2.) Increase maternity and paternity leave 3.) Tie child support to actual costs of child for food, clothing, schooling, insurance and not the standard of upholding quality of previous standard of living or blanket percentage of total income 4.) Yes in many different ways from many different people. The hardest are always the ones where I cared more and wanted more but it didn’t work out for many multiple reasons. Most of the time it’s me breaking my own heart with delusional fantasies and unrealistic expectations. Learning is slow. The bad neural wiring from trauma and abuse and negative situations as a kid and an adult are persistent. Have to be careful always. Can’t trust my attraction instincts.

This is a fascinating topic. One that I have lived but never seen talked about anywhere. Thanks for bringing it up. Regarding your response, can you explain more what you mean? Are you talking about sexual freedom with a few trusted partners or more generalized friend/social group activities?

Envious of past experiences and how easy it is for them to find new, appealing partners as well as jealousy around losing them to higher SOI or SMV or more compatible partners. So both. Which leads to the controlling. Work arounds like learning pick up, using drugs to bypass social inhibitions and sexual insecurities and then mimicking SOI player womanizer personalities that I have learned from media and my environment. Pretty effective. Went from a 7 bc over 30 years to now a bc of 44 and I’m 3…

I have lived this dichotomy and found work arounds for my naturally low SOI but have also found it difficult to not be envious and controlling of the high SOI women I get involved with and fall in love with. This is truly an impossible line to walk. Yet I am drawn to it nonetheless.

No joke. I’ve made the mistake of overlooking many incompatibilities early in a relationship because I was so deep in infatuation and thought I could still be her best. Of course, it didn’t work out. The hard reality of compatibility vs incompatibility always wins. Really have to prioritize that over fantasy and limerent attraction.

Texting compatibility is a real thing. Can you imagine a whole relationship like this? If not and you are looking for a relationship, just let her go.

Mismatched drives. Mismatched physical/chemical attraction to each other. Wildly different styles combined with either partner being unwilling or unable to adapt and work together to find an appropriate blended style.

Lol. I’ve had success going out dancing and going out to eat/drink solo and sitting at the bar or in cafes, but most of my success has come from apps. It’s a different style and vibe than I’m used to on the east coast. Took some time to adjust.

Depends on the year and where I am geographically and in life. Record is 17 when I was clubbing and living in NYC. Now in Denver as just a guy living his own life it’s between 3 and 7 depending how hard I’m trying. Could pump those up if I wanted to. It just takes a lot of effort.

It’s true that early sex bonds and can turn into a relationship. It can also easily turn into heartbreak or a shitshow if there’s no compatibility or if you catch feelings but she doesn’t. If OP really wants a long term thing there is some wisdom in not taking the hookup to gf approach.

35M. 45 partners. I’m a hypocrite, I know, but I definitely prefer low body count in my LTRs. I have retroactive jealousy so the less fuel they have for that fire the better. But when I’m not feeling romantic for someone then it doesn’t matter. I’m just a walking catch 22.

I left but not because of this but because of a horrible dead bedroom situation. I went on and learned game and quintupled my body count from before but still have the emotional trauma from that dead bedroom situation with me. I tried another ltr recently and ended up in a toxic trauma bond situation. Lesson: do what you want with fooling around but take care of your trauma and mental emotional issues before next ltr or you’ll just end up fucked again.

The people fighting against child support are actively being ruined by it. That makes it a more pressing issue to them. There are people fighting for more male contraceptives but the personal urgency isn’t as high as someone who is living in squalor or being threatened with prison due to the unfair conditions of child support laws in this country.

It’s the mindset around sex. For me it has helped in finding women who I am truly attracted to and who I feel safe being vulnerable with. It’s about comfort and being ok with failing. The anxiety of needing perfection really messes with it. The fear of losing them and being embarrassed just becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. Let yourself fail to learn. It sucks but it’s the only way besides drugs and being stuck in manipulation due to fear forever. Take the pressure off. Find people who are und…

What’s the point of asking for advice if you’re just going to shit on all of it? As someone that has picked up many girls on the dance floor by doing exactly what this poster said I have to say you’re missing the point. It’s about what vibe you give out and how that attracts people. But you have to be ok going home empty handed and actually enjoy dancing just to dance. There’s no 100% guarantee but the more you are enjoying what you’re doing and creating a fun vibe the better your chances are.

Speaking personally as a man, I don’t want marriage because it is a financial and psychosexual trap. Having been through several long term relationships, I know how the emotional and sexual intimacy fades with time. I also see how men are destroyed financially by divorce and child support payments. If marriage was a thing that was not meant to be a financial trap to keep families together and instead was seen as a possibly temporary agreement to exclusivity while it benefits both partners as wel…

I think this hits home for me. The jealousy comes from a sense of wanting to possess the woman out of control and property beliefs. Also worried about being/feeling cucked and losing out on dominance and priority in the woman’s mate hierarchy.

They say you attract people at about the same level of emotional maturity as yourself which would explain the phenomena you ran into with this woman. I’m just ending a relationship with a woman who is similar. Makes me wonder why we attracted each other because I must have some work to do.

You’re a beginner. It’s gonna be awkward and feel shitty for a while. Like learning anything it takes practice and a willingness to suck and look stupid at first. The most important thing is perseverance. With enough effort and practice you will start seeing success.

As circumstances change so do feelings. It’s important to learn how to live with depression and suicidal ideation because there will be bouts of them in most people’s lives. And most of those people will move through them once things change sufficiently. Sometimes all it takes is time and endurance to overcome depression.

Going through this now. The “my life is over” thing is a legit feeling, and, in a lot of ways, it is. You will never be childless again. I’m sorry that your wife is treating you awfully. Having a supportive partner is so useful in these situations. Is there anyone else in your life that you can rely on? Would your wife be open to counseling? It’s a tough spot but you’re not the only one going through it. It just sucks. I’m sorry.

I feel ya. It sucks that you’re going through this. It truly is a lonely path. I recommend finding understanding partners and really working on the mental aspect of things. Having compassion for myself, faith that it could improve, and being open to new ways of relating really helped the most. Oh, and allowing yourself (and your dick) to “fail”, like a lot lol. It sucks but it works counter intuitively. Radical acceptance. Etc etc.
/r/seduction14/03/21 01:40 AM

This is new for you. It sounds like you’re both frustrated and panicking. It’s normal. My advice as someone that has been through it, don’t put more pressure on yourself. Be kind to yourself. Have compassion. This sucks and there’s no quick fix. It’s a paradigm shift for you. Embrace it and learn about it and accept all the fucked up embarrassing aspects of it. The only way out is through.

Not to mention the booming single motherhood rates. When sexual freedom is the norm commitment dies and the urges of the masses take over. Traditional values had answers to all of these things. But that’s all evil and wrong. We are doomed.
