Speaking from hard earned experience, DO NOT do her favors. I almost had to declare bankruptcy after all the smoke cleared from my divorce because I was trying to be nice and she sure as hell wasn't behind my back.

I personally use Trackendar for this. I have a daily reminder to log interactions (if needed) and it can all be backed up or exported.

My dad split when I was around 6. Yes, I missed him, and yes, there were times when I wished I lived with him. But I do know that I turned out better having lived with my mom. My daughter, on the other hand, stays with me, and her mom is pretty batty. Blanket mom or dad statements just don't work because there are screwed up versions of each

She took hers off immediately, though she'd been wearing it sporadically for weeks. I sold mine for $24 the first time I needed gas money thanks to the legal fees racking up.

Because while I could take her to the same daycare, I honestly can't afford the extra $105. This isn't a case of her disappearing where I'd have to pay it, it's a case of her being a bitch and trying to get me to pay for her's.

Quite simply, she would go to her normal daycare. Failing that, if the case were that they were closed, I would just take the day off or take her to work with me. Yes, I have brought up these possibilities with my boss and this is precisely what would happen.

Thankfully, she hasn't said a word after I sent a screenshot of both entries in the parenting plan regarding winter break. I'm just hoping she hasn't tried to make me look like the asshole to our daughter over this. Oh, and I do document everything. I started using an app called Trackendar to document all the crap she pulled during the divorce since it can export to something I could send to my attorney, and just never turned off the daily reminder "just in case".

I personally use an app called Trackendar with a daily reminder at 11PM called Issues to annotate any problems with my ex. Using your example, I'd have logged "screenshot taken of Ex stating she won't take kids to dentist". It can also export a CSV that can be sent along with all the images that are safely backed up.

That's pretty much what my attorney is doing. We wrote up an agreement with fair custody arrangements, it's just that she is unwilling to give on physical custody.

I completely agree, which is why I stayed married for 7 years to someone even though there was no sex, we barely even shared the same bed (her choices), and we attended marriage counseling that was mostly one sided.

I'm not trying to get some custody, just physical custody. She can't afford to pay her own bills, plans on only getting a one bedroom apartment, and seems to think it's perfectly ok for a kid to have zero social interactions. I know there's a chance that the GAL will not help much, but I have heard several success stories from other parents. Success as in what was in the best interest of the child.

Well, as soon as the GAL is involved, it should over rather soon. The only thing we weren't in agreement on was custody. Her thinking it's ok to wake up a 6yo every night to put in her bed, and take to parties just to look like an involved parent, no visible plans of being independent; and me being, well, sane.

It's more that I'm trying to keep the stuff in my name from going into collections.

We both have lawyers, one kid, and assets (house, each has a car in my name) We apparently skipped legal separation, though didn't share room for a very long time. I know she filed for a divorce because it was filed by her and countered by me (just for custody)

They're all in my name. Her immigration wasn't complete enough before she filed for divorce to put them in her name (yes, I do realize what happened).

The bills are in my name. Plus, if I get rid of the car, which is pretty much all she's after, she may go after the house.

No separation agreement or anything, I'm talking about her phone bill, car note, car insurance, and braces bill. We were never legally separated, she just filled for divorce.

She filed for divorce, which is still in progress, and says I'm a bad person/father/etc but refuses to move out or pay her own bills. This is not the amount that should be paid considering she works, I pay her bills, she does not get marital support, and does get get child support for a daughter that lives with me. Forgot to add that she declined marital support and she'd take over her bills once she had a stable job for 3 months.
