So not only does this subreddit support fathers leaving kids without any sort of involvement but it also believes fathers are super important and that single mothers are a huge problem

"Care for themselves and their children" The way you word this makes it seem that a child is some sort of possesion of the mother. It's not "themself and the child" It's just how the child is going to be taken care of? Why should the child be solely responsible on the mother when the father clearly took part and should therefore be obligated to help the child? So women should skill-up, work and earn their way but for men it's ok if they do none of that? Also the poor decisions can be easily be on both part. And besides, poor decisions means you have responsibilities you don't want, that's life / common sense and you can't just run away form them like a child running away to avoid being grounded.
