Thing is I have decent money for my age, cool car, clothes, basically everything I want, I just honestly feel like I’ve damn near reached my superficial “peak”. I’d still like to put on some more muscle but aside from that I feel pretty stuck. You’re right about the confidence though.

Thanks for the hilarious analysis of my life. Glad to see you have it all figured out. I was mainly asking for techniques or things to practice when you have other guys messing with you, not some essay on the structure of friend groups.

Had a feeling this might happen off 3 paragraphs but I should stress it isn’t like that at all, in fact I’m essentially the central “friend” who brings us together, makes plans, calls most of the shots, has more friends outside of us, etc. it’s not like they keep me around just to bully

Good take, I def gotta start assuming attraction and not overthinking shit like I always do. the problem is I’ve noticed it more with younger girls (like not legal). I’m 21 but could pass for 18-22 and think “damn I wish I looked like I do now in high school” because I looked like a fuckin dorky kid 3-4 years ago.

Depends on what your goal weight is I’m really shooting for like 145. I already look somewhat athletic most people think I’m about 140-150.

I get that but do the math bro. I’m up about 30 lbs (granted started incredibly light) and my big lifts have nearly doubled from when I started with free weights. Probably have put on about 20 lbs of muscle. Body fat is still about the same; always been around 12-17%

True shit man. Nostalgia is incredibly powerful.

I respect your opinion and agree I need to adapt this attitude a bit more in life. However, I don’t think I’m overthinking anything. I was just doing some hard thinking about what the future of dating is in the 2020’s with tiktok/social media so rampant. Again, it’s a different animal than a famous musician from the past.

Yeah trust me I have tried my absolute hardest to get better looking. It’s worked to some level but at the same time I’m still sorta limited by my nature. I’ve been rated like 4-6 usually so I’m pretty damn average looks wise. Feels like my “max” is a lot lower than other people lol. Sucks but I know I gotta just focus on me and not worry about what other people are doing. And yeah, fuck that app and Twitter for promoting these ridiculous viewpoints. It’s just incredibly toxic and scares me for …

Im aware that’s just the simplified explanation. It wasn’t just options that was just where the bulk of it came from.

Well I was 105 in 2019 and I’m 135 now.

Admittedly this does come off rant like. Just got high and started typing what was on my mind. Greater point was the future of the dating landscape considering social media’s impact.

Not disagreeing with what you said about that at all but there’s absolutely no reason to start insulting me. Reeks of you tryna pump your ego up. Get a grip dude there’s no need for that. We’re all working to our own goals. I’m open to any and all advice from anyone. I posted here to discuss stuff with people.

I’ve been gaining about .25 a week lately. Exactly what you’re suggesting. I just gotta keep it up. I’m not just gonna jump to 160 in a day. It’s a process. You read the starting point right? I’m up 30 lbs overall. So stfu and stop tryna bring me down to make yourself feel better.

Dude, you know nothing about me. I’m very active and my maintenance is roughly 2700 from what I’ve observed. And my goal isn’t to be a body builder anyway lmao I’d just like to put on maybe another 10 lbs of muscle or so. I’ve been anything but lazy regarding lifting in the past couple months especially.

Yeah man I’ve had some setbacks but I just hit my previous best lifts and I think I’ll be able to get past them and then some this summer if I keep it up. I’ve been tracking calories and aiming for at least 3k a day. Prob could use even more tbh.

Well like I said I’m 21 and just missed the tik tok craze when I was in high school. Your plates being a couple years older than me definitely did. The girls into this shit are like teenagers. Most not legal yet. Prob some 18-22’s. So I guess that’s what I’m getting at - what happens when these girls get to their mid 20s? But you’re right though, shit is changing fast. Makes me feel like I was born in the wrong time.

Yeah I’m gonna keep grinding in the gym. And the only reason I have that $ is I got lucky with TSLA and GME options. But appreciate the advice I’ll definitely keep tryna improve myself

Very true. Working in retail has taught me that. Being in college tho it’s a lil bit different at my age tho.

I’m trying to bulk again. I was always super super small, like 105 lbs in HS. had an epiphany one day and started lifting. Went to like 140 and due to Covid/a surgery fell to like 130. Now am at 135 and looking to get past 140 again and stronger this time. Prob about 15% body fat. Somewhat visible abs. Yes I know I have work to do still.

Hey bro well good for you. I wasn’t as blessed genetically (5’8”, ectomorph) but I know I got a lot of good qualities too. I got 100k in the bank so far so I’m hoping once I get my actual career goin I could notice a similar effect.

Fair point but my counter is social media makes a lot of shit more possible that wasn’t in the past. Story time - a couple years ago I randomly woke up and had like 10 girls add me on Snapchat; random names. Was confused af. So I add one back and ask like who tf are you essentially and turns out some kid on tiktok misspelled his snap username in the bio and it was mine. Didn’t even have many followers either, like 100, but he was a good looking guy and had girls hitting “him” up just bc of that.…

I mean that’s fair but this was more a dating scene question than self improvement. I’ve been working out consistently for over a year now and put on approx. 20 lbs of muscle so trust me I’m on that shit. Admittedly am new to RP thinking, though.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
