1	Pride: The most important virtue This is really interesting, I never looked at them this way. The Christian mythos has even a larger set of sins called mortal sins. Those include murder and adultery. Those seem to be a subset of the seven capital vices. I always wondered why the capital vices are more abhored, since they do not harm other persons directly in most of the cases.
