The "Do you want to get to know me" throws up red flags because people just don't talk like that. It's also way too aggressive. I'm thinking scam.

Dinner is something you have with someone you are already well acquainted with. It's too much of a commitment for someone you don't know. Always do something casual for the first few times so either of you can bow out. You get to know people better that way too. People are usually on their best and more formal behavior at dinner. It's also not good for conversation.

I don't know what you are into, but the type of girl that would respond to being ignored, isn't going to be the most stable person. There are insecurity issues and if they are very persistent, it's a red flag. What you have said makes me think she's the take it slow type and may think you are as well. Feel this one out, don't keep ignoring her, her response now is going to be important in determining what you are dealing with.

Mentors and role models are what's needed. A positive male influence to show them the ropes, is what's missing in the first place.

When you have low confidence, you frequently attract the kinds of people who will take advantage and abuse you.

I can only say from my own experience. I haven't been single since I was a teen, dating wasn't considered appropriate as a teen. I met everyone in real life. I tried early online dating once at 20, it was advertised, in the newspaper as a moderator job, turned out to be a ploy to get women to join. Cancelled after the first day because it was mostly 35+ year old very aggressive and unattractive (to me) men contacting me. I met everyone in real life, either where I hung out during college, or thr…

People cry. They are humans with emotions. Crying means something is wrong. Losing respect for someone who cries is a red flag as they have empathy issues and didn't care enough for you as a real person, in the first place.

There's a small chance, but this is more like the saying "let's do lunch" no one means it so don't hold your breath.

When I was young, I never went anywhere with the intention of hooking up. I've always been weary of strangers, even socializing with them. I go to be with the people I came with. Meeting people has always been school, work, or friend related. Never dated anyone I didn't know for at least a few weeks.

Rejection and socialization. Direct language is not encouraged in women, neither is being unaccommodating. Keep the peace at all costs. We have developed our own nuance in the language which some men, especially the less socialized, have difficulty understanding. Those same guys are also those who are most likely to retaliate verbally or physically.

Much of the population has poor communication skills. The younger you are the worse it is, there's an improvement with age. Good communication skills are a must for every aspect of life, it should be taught in school from day one. The situation you describe is sadly common. Some women expect you to anticipate needs and are frequently testing their partner. Men do it in their own way. It comes from an area of insecurity, immaturity, poor self worth, poor attachment style, upbringing, and psycholo…

I'm not going to dig up the stats, but money is the biggest stressor in relationships and the main cause of LTR break ups. It's not because anyone is being greedy. Inability to afford to eat or pay bills causes stress, which in turn causes people to resent and argue with each other.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
