When you said, "I do," there wasn't some new entity that was born or created called "the marriage," which you must forever try to appease. You're still you. Something just clicked inside my head right after reading this... My, oh my...

I was struggling with such decision as well (finances). I tried to control all the money, and it was fruitless. Eventually I let it go, and as you said, it was the best thing I did. On with the journey.

committed to my wife Don't be committed to anyone but yourself. Women don't value our efforts and loyalty as much as we believe they do.

I struggled with butthurt in the past (not about sex, though) and I'm learning every day. > My wife sees it as being butthurt Go find some other things to do, even if you have to go outside. When you're a busy man with lots of other things to do, she won't see you as you being butthurt. "Don't wanna have sex with me? Fine, I'll meet the boys for a beer." (or whatever suits your interests) Currently that's what I'm working on. I have no hobbies and just a few good friends, but I'm working on it.

YOUR vision should ultimately be what guides you Yeah, I'm aware of that (now). My life's been adrift for too long, you know, but I'm slowly getting it back on track.

> Women in their happiest, most content state, are pee-pee poo-poo immature children who just want to be cute, adorable, and have fun I'm still struggling, really struggling to internalize this, but eventually I'll get around to it with the help of fine RP material like this.

I'll be brief. Never participated in a OYS thread. About 10 months of RP. Lately been mostly in monk mode, reading anything I can and everything the group suggests. There are visible improvements to my marriage. Even though I'm sucessfull in my own business, I was not much of a leader and that was lacking in both personal and professional lives, so I'm working on that. But I just wanted to post this today because I've been feeling down. My hard disk crashed last sunday, lost quite a bit of files…

I'm surprised at my own reaction after reading this. And after a few seconds of thinking... you have to accept that I will keep fucking this girl too ...I've read quite a few times around here that a woman would rather share an alpha. So, way to go, MisterRoid!

it's to being put in a position where she might be responsible Here's one concept I'm finding hard to grasp. Women don't want to be responsible, at all. For anything.

Happened to me as well, and quite repeatedly. I snapped a few times (my bad, I know; didn't have the RP knowledge I have today) but somehow I made my point and she didn't do it ever since. At one point I was VERY CLOSE to actually braking the car in the middle of the street and asking her to drive instead - if I'm such a bad driver that she has to bitch every single time or give directions, then why the hell I should worry about driving at all? She has a drivers license as well, goddamnit. But w…

Even though I'm in Brazil, I really laughed a lot at this! This is genius! Keeping this one as a strategy in case I need it. this judge had clearly never considered it before Why, of course, the judge is a female :D

Porn addiction and masturbation are two separate issues I was on the fence about NoFap. Never did it but when I got to know about it I thought 'That seems odd, but is there a chance they can be right?' Thanks for clearing that up :D It makes sense to just masturbate whenever you want as long as that doesn't impact on your other life areas.

Truly enlightening. Really, no kidding. I could relate to everything you just said. I've posted a few times here but now mostly I'm in monk mode, reading a lot of material in order to make the best out of my marriage. I've been slacking for a few years, it's time to catch up now.

I'll take category number 2, please. but they want to do so in an attempt to give that child the family she never had Explains a lot about why the hell my wife so desperately wants babies. If you don’t want kids, stay away from this type of woman Well... maybe if I had that info about 5 years ago :D (but no, we don't have any kids; also, I'm working on getting a vasectomy.) you filling it may instill a fear of losing a man once again I noticed something along these lines before learning about RP…

Kept saying that I was too dangerous to go out on the town by myself LOL'd at that! Now she's truly afraid of losing you. I'm working on myself too, will try all that at the earnest. And btw, my wife also works at a school. With some hot women too.

+1 for wife having a real job. Mine's a manager at a municipal daycare center. For some time I entertained the thought that she could run her own business from home (as I have ran mine) but now I think it's best she has a job outside home - or maybe one day even her own business at another location. And I agree with you on the benefits, especially #4. Also, double income is way better (and much stabler) than single income. BTW we don't have kids, so... that also helps a lot.

her into not working out and it was 'emotional abuse'. Goddamnit, I could see myself on this one! Posted a few days ago at /r/childfree, almost every reply called me an 'abuser' (check the history to see what the fuss was all about). What the fuck is wrong with people these days? But oddly enough, I wasn't even mad.

what you ordered is so much better, why do I ever order!" Mine does this as well, but along the lines of 'Can I take a bite out of yours?' And I usually get pissed and think 'Goddamnit woman, if you wanted this so much why didn't you ordered it?'. I don't demonstrate it, though. And I usually take a bite out of hers just to see her reaction (usually neutral). Old me would have thought that she's indecisive as hell. New me thinks I should lead and plan all our meals leaving her with no choice wha…

The entitlement is strong with this one. Before TRP I would think "You decided to break up with him, so suck it up" but then TRP teached me that women just won't take any responsibility. So I laughed a lot reading this story. and just started sobbing uncontrollably Yeah, of course you did, hahaha! I must've wrote 100 different texts to Will last night but didn't end up sending a single one That guy is my new hero.

really hate on a girl for wanting financial security Yeah, thing is, what if the girl gets too lazy and/or entitled? She knows he's loaded, then all of a sudden she 'can't find any good jobs', 'work too much', 'deserve this' and whatever.

Laughed so hard at your story! Poor Ben... In Brazil we have a saying, 'Quem desdenha quer comprar', literally 'Whoever speaks ill, wants to buy it'. It's not hard to imagine she'll look for you when she's facing problems with Ben, and then guess what? Yeah.... :D

put holes in condoms We used condoms before. She noticed I was getting wary and having less sex, so she suggested the pill. She also commented that some of her colleagues have too suggested the 'Oops i'm pregnant' method, but she said she refused to do such a thing even though she didn't like the idea of not having kids. She believes that a kid should only be conceived if both parents are involved (her words). I guess the fact we have zero kids now is proof that she kept her word - on the condom…

You're not special, your girl is not special. She will cuck u if she wants. Okay, okay, got it.... :D "My body my choice" (Using feminist ammo against her). She don't believe in feminism, but that's a great and funny argument, I'll save it for later.

Your answer resonates with me. Is there anything like 'reverse shit tests'? I could do that just to test if what she said about respecting my decision (as commented by InternetHateDevice) is the real deal.

Yeah, I learned about "watch womens' actions" relatively early in my life. About she not wanting to break up, I believe it is due to her religious background. I think she wouldn't be able to save face from her family and church members, who all don't believe in divorce (I do), except in extreme cases.

...or if she actually gets pregnant (from another man, of course) and then tries to pin it on me. That would be fun to watch. I don't believe she would entrap me OR cheat on me (she has a religious background, BTW). Still, the pill makes you think otherwise - AWALT. Also, wouldn't that have the potential to worsen our relationship? I mean, if I did that, I would again send her the message that I don't trust her when she found out about the vasectomy. Or am I reading this wrong?

My prediction: you won't listen to me, you'll listen to your wife, she'll be pregnant very shortly The TRP ENDORSED tag makes your opinion weigh a lot more :D But don't misread me: I have a lot of work in improving myself, but I'm not a f'ing beta who agrees with everything his wife says. That's why I'm here, and that's why I haven't given her a child (I think some would do that just so the woman would shut up/stop nagging/whatever). I would not do such a thing. A kid is a serious commitment, I …

I don't think she would like an IUD. Anyways, I believe a vasectomy would be the best course. Plus I think I could test if she's real when she says she respects me. I've also subscribed to /r/childfree and, man... I didn't want kids before, now I want them even less.

I don't, at least for now, believe she would entrap me. Maybe it's the paranoid in me speaking.
