The right aren't really incompetent. They just don't care. They are in it for the perks. Like a lot of the top feminists are in it for the gift, so are many "male advocates" of the right. Most of them really couldn't care less of what happens to boys or men.

Not really. I'm a guy and I'd help a dude too. And I've gotten in trouble for it as well. Either way it's a risk. The best case scenario wud be to help as the situation dictates or how u feel. Helping others is a virtue. But not helping someone doesn't automatically mean u are a bad person .

The issue is that the Twitter thread ended up being a stage for male bashing. People who care about the kids won't make it about an agenda. I agree the men who send dick pics are assholes. Isn't this the same as the "how do I know you're not a rapist?" argument. While I agree with paternity tests being taken, it surely is done because the guy suspects and if that's not the case, the woman does have the right to be angry. It's similar to a wife accusing a husband of cheating. Tho it shud be more of a moral issue than a legal one.

There were also many women's rights crusaders who were shitty people. Not every publicity is good. And I'd rather not have a scammer as the face of the men's rights. (I'm not taking abt the trafficking accusations as there isn't anything concrete on it)

Nah. Knowing the full context is something that must be done before jumping into assumptions. (Tho it doesn't seem there is any context that helps the woman shown in this video) Just that it must hold true for all cases. PPL shouldn't throw rationality to the trash just cuz the accused is a man and bring it back when it's a woman being accused of something

There are 2 ways to this, 1. If he was a child when this happened, then there is no question on whether it was bad. It definitely is. People don't like processing negative stuff, more so in an environment that doesn't consider it negative. Hence it's easier for a person to consider being raped or sexually abused in other forms as something good instead of it being an situation they were too young to face. That's taking a minority of PPL who profit from it and using that to justify sexualization of women. Not every person is looking to create an onlyfans. Women or men, sexualization of a person without their consent is bad.

That is in no way comparable to being sexualised when you don't want to. It's not a something nice, being looked upon weirdly by creeps. And they both are wrong that men aren't sexualized. Like, look at any sculpture or most superhero movie actors or anything.

Half agree. Women do face a lot of issues in India. We still need to make a lot of progress. As hopefully we can, too. But most of those issues aren't legal. Legally, men are way more underrepresented. Not to mention most social issues men face is swept under the rug. (The most obvious one being that the justice system doesn't consider female on male rape to be a thing)

U doubt such discussions will work in either of the main subs. Thr will always be the annoying ones. The best option would be a sub (with mods who r sane ppl from both subs) which wud act as a common ground. Thr aren't many subs which criticize without going overboard most times. Ex-fds is probably the only one I can remember rn
