3	Good luck ever getting a tech job at GE - They set a goal to have 50/50 (male/female) representation for all technical entry-level jobs even though <20% of graduating engineers are female. I think a better way to fix unequal representation is to encourage people at an education level. By setting company goals you're not increasing the number of women in the field, you're just hiring women in the <20%. 1	Damn Right That's the antithesis of the definition of feminism. What you're talking about is the overall impacts of reverse-racism. Or in this case reverse-sexism. Women see that they can get special treatment for nothing and jump onboard. This always happens, companies make superficial changes to pander to the group because it's the cool thing to do. 1	Damn Right I've seen the HeForShe video. I think that comes more from her trying to tie in the UN slogan. If you look at her reasons it describes mostly about how women are seen as bossy instead of independent. Also when she lightly touches on men not being able to express their feelings. 1	Damn Right I think that's more the stance of feminazi's (for a lack of a better word). I think the majority of feminism (people like Emma Watson) have the stance of wanting to get rid of the stereotype of women being helpless and men being aggressive. Which is something that men's rights is trying to push as well, that men shouldn't be viewed as aggressors. 71	Damn Right But legit. This is actually a thing that should be the backbone of feminism. The whole, 'girls are smart too and can do anything' sounds like feminism to me. And it goes hand in hand with being more accepting of men in home scenarios because you'd get more men being home parents because the woman would be out being, you know, doctors or whatever. Men are likely to go into more Engineering, Maths and Technology fields because they're encouraged as a young age with toy trucks and video games. And those jobs get higher pay.
