So...a company that refused to serve Jews would be totally fine because there's no contract? Just curious about your logic here. You're misreading the statute. The key part is "offer". You cannot systematically discriminate in the offering of contracts, and hiring someone as an independent contractor is definitely offering a contract.

It's already happening. I do this myself at the university level very easily - I put the cover page of final exams right at the end of the paper so I don't see the name until the grading is complete.

When you take classes like this, you are giving resources to them. Stop giving them your implicit and explicit support.

If this was written anonymously with 'white men' replaced with any other gender/ethnicity combination, the police would be pulling records yesterday to lock the author up.

Take some responsibility here. You are not only wasting your time and money, you are promoting this by simply being enrolled in the class. If people continue to pay to sit in classrooms like this, administrators have little choice except to continue offering such classes and hiring these sorts of instructors.

...why is this post here? Also, "if you have never done or tried crossfit for more than a workout or two and are trying to preach to me on the efficacy or long-term drawbacks, you are not allowed to comment on this post" is a shitty argument. I've never tried to live off pizza and beer for more than maybe two days in a row. I'm pretty sure that I don't need to do it for a month to establish that it's not ideal. The fact you try to stake out your position in such a way predisposes me against the …

"Tru but u don't just be having sex with just anybody but I cant doe my body is taken for my boyfriend." I worry about the non-sexual education students were receiving at this school.

No, that's not what the static is saying at all. It's saying there are 65 employed, unmarried men compared to 100 unmarried women. Only some of the women are employed. The message is that only employed men have value, but all women have value, that all women deserve an employed guy but only employed guys deserve any woman. Which is actually distressingly correct - we know the math doesn't add up, that 100 women can't marry 65 men. But 100 women can certainly ignore the other 35 and spend time ch…

And the article will still protect the woman's identity and not mention that Banks will likely not see any of the money awarded to him because she blew through her received "damages" when she sued the school where she claimed it happened.

A lot of what Rand has written is not at all an ode to unrestrained capitalism, as is commonly believed. Dagny and Roark are not running around trying to implement economic reforms - they are running around trying to be the best they can be at what they love, knowing that doing anything else would result in losing their own self-respect and the respect of others, confident that everything else is secondary and follows from that goal. Much of her writing is, at least to me, philosophy for how to …

While amusing, I have no idea what I'm supposed to learn or take away from this that's useful or productive.

And while the rise of women has been good for everyone, the decline of males has obviously been bad news for men -- and bad news for marriage. Oh, so you mean it hasn't been good for everyone. What bothers me more is the early toss-in of 'settling for a "good-enough" mate". Imagine if a male writer ever wrote something that just casually suggested a large chunk of the female population just wasn't good enough to even be considered romantic material.
