Learning martial arts doesn't mean engaging or disarming someone with a weapon necessarily. It can also be used to dodge, duck, dip, dive, and most importantly, gtfo. Whereas a gun, without training, sounds like a dangerous liability. I mean, how can it not be?

Yes they can, but sometimes those rules can break expectations by users about those subs, about how discussion in them works. By showing how the mods of subs behave, people can get a better idea of what it means when a sub presents an opinion.

Yeah, that poster did the right thing. They elicited your point of view, just as someone would if they were trying to reconcile your point of view with theirs. Just because you're in a place where an us-and-them mentality prevails, doesn't mean you need to buy into it.

I think the target frame should be something that's equal and fair to both parties, and that should be maintained, and it's good to keep track of the frame, so you don't slip into a pattern of abuse.

If you have that level of understanding of the red pill, then maybe you can ask your boyfriend what his opinion is on some things about sex and romantic relationships, to see what he says. He'll no doubt try to make his beliefs sound good to you, but he'll probably also say a lot of honest things (with overlap here), that you can use to get a sense of what he believes now.

If it's all true, I lose the most sympathy for her where she says "I exploded at him". How is that OK? And you see, afterwards, he does what she wants, and then she's wondering whether it's right. Maybe she wouldn't be wondering if she didn't explode at him, and instead said her thing more calmly, and tried not to scare him out of responding.
