Be careful, the longer you live without a woman in your life the less likely you are to ever want one again. Solitude becomes an addiction. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I think you might be in the wrong sub.

Yeah, it's really that simple. I remember sitting on the side of our bed, looking out the window into the neighborhood and thinking, why am I even married? What's the point? Do I really want to live the rest of my life like this? But when it really is time, you'll know. You won't have to ask anyone. It just hits you one day and you're done.

And for you men thinking of jumping back into the dating pool, go spend some time with time over on r/femaledatingstrategy. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

I gave her everything and it was the right decision for me at that time. All I wanted out of the divorce was to walk away with what little dignity and sanity I had left.

Women are cruel. Full stop. It’s just that nobody bothered telling us that while we were growing up.

There is no such thing as unconditional love for men…any men. They left that part out of the Happy Life Brochure.

Give it six months and then get back to us.

Same thing over at r/datingoverfifty--it's knee-deep in estrogen. Bash men all day long, that's fine. But critique a woman and you will be shown the door. Think of that sub as an arm of the eye-opening comments on r/femaledatingstrategy.

This part is left out of the marriage brochure given to men.

You laugh, but that's one of the many things my x did--killed our entire garden through neglect--just like our marriage.

Damn, that’s exactly what happened to me. When the wife was away the daughter was a normal, happy, engaged being. An absolute delight to be around. When the wife was home it was a completely different story.

Change a couple of details and I've read this exact same story a couple of hundred times in the last ten years alone. Sad that women are so predictable this way.

Everything you said is spot-on. I know because I spent nearly three years in a committed relationship with a BP I. Never. Again. BTW, I read your entire comment in Paul Elam's voice.

I found this to support your thesis: "Scientists at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have found that when just 10 percent of the population holds an unshakable belief, their belief will always be adopted by the majority of the society. The scientists, who are members of the Social Cognitive Networks Academic Research Center (SCNARC) at Rensselaer, used computational and analytical methods to discover the tipping point where a minority belief becomes the majority opinion. The finding has implicat…

Just changed to DuckDuckGo. This is how corporations die, one customer at a time.

There's a documentary streaming channel called Curiosity Stream. It's just like Netflix. Lots of great docs. It's totally worth the $2.50/month I pay. Totally.

This is EXACTLY what my ex wife's bathroom looked like when we were married. Needless to say, I used the guest bathroom as my own.

Got mine at the tender age of 26. I've made some poor choices in life, but that was not one of them.

I've found plenty of women who are intellectual equals, but not a single one who's an emotional equal. When the deep, cerebral conversations and bonding stop, the lies, drama, expectations, accusations and all manner of hell, will take their place. Since you are not a believer in AWALT, then I have to assume you'll need to experience that for yourself. So, by all means, start dating. We'll save a place for you when you return a bit bruised but a lot wiser.

Hory fuck, this is a most inspiring story. You had some great sex and fun times, and yet managed to not get snared into being the new baby daddy. Cheers to you!

I wish I had learned that very lesson early in life. Thanks for the reminder/pep talk -- I'm fertile soil for this kind of thinking right now.

I spent $4K on a new mountain bike last summer. That would have never happened if I were still married.

Whatever you do, don't buy the Makita or Bosh contractor table saws. Pure junk. The Makita's fence is useless and the Boshs' arbor is so loose I couldn't get a single scrap of material through it without binding. That is all.

I understand the place you are in right now OP, as I've felt the same way. This video from Paul Proteus, "Freedom From Becomes Freedom To" has been a great help to me overcoming these same feelings. https://youtu.be/I2n8cbUZ1CA

I'm a regular mountain biker. And where I live, the majority of mountain bikers are engineers or other professional men. I'd say 1% of the riders on the trails are women. In fact, I can't ever remember seeing a woman riding the trails by herself, she's always with a man. I'm sure the reason they ride mostly in front is because they can't keep up with their man. No surprise there. Here's my theory why there are few woman who mountain bike: they hate shifting gears. Seriously, every woman I've eve…

For the last 43 years, I've been in some kind of relationship--either married, cohabitation or dating--with many different kinds of women. And after what I experienced in all those years, now I'd rather just go for a bike ride than bring a woman into my life.

OP, up until the last three years, I've been in a relationship -- long-term marriages and live-ins and dating -- almost continuously since I was 14 years old. I'm 53 now. And at this point I'd much rather go for a bike ride than have a woman in my life. Even for the sex. It just isn't worth it. It's NEVER been worth it.

Up until three years ago, I had been in a relationship pretty much one after another -- marriage and live-ins and dating -- and found all of them to not be worth the effort. Sure, the first thee months is usually fantastic. But then it's game over. I've simply lost interest.

I realized that women are a hazard, not a prize. They are a risk to a man's physical, mental, spiritual, and financial development. That's the most succinct explanation for going full MGTOW I've ever read. Nice work!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
