Congrats for trying to understand every point of view! I’m an adult woman and it’s why I’m in this sub too. I used to understand the annoyance around things like #notallmen. I agreed saying things like ‘men do this’ or ‘boys be like’ was shorthand for experiences that nearly all women go through and that these women understood that of course not all men do those things, that explicitly saying ‘of course there are good men too’ after each complaint was too cumbersome but it was understood to be t…

Yes, as a woman and feminist these women suck, and should be called what they are, which is misandrists or female supremacists.

I’d call a guy not having his shit together: someone not financially/emotionally/socially independent, issues that they’re not actively working on, needs someone to ‘look after’ him. Same as I’d say for women. Spending ‘too much’ time with friends could be an issue if he’s neglecting the relationship/other goals and responsibilities, same as women. And I wouldn’t say most women I know ‘need’ a man to look after them, but they enjoy supporting a partner and want the same in return.

Gross. If I met a person saying that I’d call them a female supremacist or misandrist, not a feminist.

As a feminist, I concur! Anyone can do what they want until it harms someone else. ETA why is this getting downvoted? What about my comment is unreasonable?

Look for feminists who also believe in mens rights (which all feminists should, otherwise they are misandrists).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
