Congratulations! This is common. I learned to hide my education (school & degree level) and career title to keep the peace. I’m new here too and we will do better! He did you a favor and I’m proud of you for letting him go! Wishing you the best, you homeowner, you!

I agree! I don’t know why he waited to spring it on her. He should have stated his beliefs on his profile. Let’s normalize LVM outing themselves! I’ve seen plenty of men say they want someone to split the bills with, they want a woman with her own money, etc. He would not have wasted anyone’s time had he just outed himself as a dusty, LVM. Proud of her for blocking. Hopefully, he learned his lesson. Stop with the bait and switch!

I was that person in Los Angeles. I’ve met a lot of people. Let me say this, most wealthy men and trust funder kids (at least from what I saw out there) are lost souls, have some degree of malignant narcissism or are true hedonists. I didn’t meet a single HVM with some wealth, even one who was on his way, who was worth knowing....in ANY industry. I wonder if one exists....maybe $1m is the threshold between good and evil. My sister is married to a multi-millionaire and he is a hedonist, emotional…

Not just not listening to a woman, by giving a man the benefit of the doubt. This “bros before hoes” culture is DANGEROUS and needs to end!

I received lewd texts immediately following an event benefiting homeless teens. Homeless teens. They will act out anywhere, anytime and any place.

Wow!!! Thank you for the education! So now, whenever a man spontaneously decides to control me, I’ll knew he’s a LVM. This is great info to start the new year with! Thank you! Plus, it’s scary how many LVM there are out there and in different states. I am grateful!! Thank you!

That’s so disturbing! Why the desire to control?? I’ve come across soooo many men who have tried to control me, often times it seems like only me? Lol, but I don’t get it. What does it mean?

What an amazingly strong woman! I was groomed and encouraged to be a pick-me. I know better now....

If I hear a sob story within the first 15 minutes, I’m OUT. Unfortunately, it’s a regular occurrence. #Blocked

Wow! Thanks for enlightening me! I had no idea. I guess this is pervasive because 99% of said crappy conversations were with guys from Chicago....aka the best guys in the country. Sigh. I know those guys could never, ever make it on Wall Street, especially the “jokes and memes” guy. I’m not from here and, so far, I’m not impressed at all.

Those guys worked in finance (likely above a teller) or as attorneys (self-reported, of course). I was so offended. The one who asked what I bring up the table said he brings “jokes and memes” and wanted to retire early. As for that woman, idk. I’m scratching my head. What a weirdo!!!! I’m speechless! As, I’m sure you were!

I’m sure bird men still do stuff and get fussed at. lol. But yeah, it’s sweet.

He worked in tech and probably is working on inventing or buying one. Lol. He is clearly the target demo for a doll!

The worst and most cruel men I’ve ever dated were ugly. Please don’t do it, ladies!! My sister married a well off ugly man and he has been evil to her. She’s in the process of leaving. His looks have NOTHING to do with how well he will treat you. Oh, he’s so ugly and can’t get women? Yeah, well he can pay for them....and in this case....hence the divorce. Tell your friends! Spare yourself!

Good for you! A classmate once told me I had a fat a$$ and I told him his was bigger and fatter. Oh man, he lost it on me! “I’m built like my mom.” “You’re being mean”. ....don’t isolate my body parts like that! So yeah, I’m proud of you!

Agreed! I’m changing careers and am optimistic about who I’ll meet. To heck with the online crew! I will work on improving my skill set and having awesome experiences instead!

Recently, online, I’ve been asked what I’ve brought to the table and if I have my own stream of income. My other friends have not. I’m not sure why just me? Either way, all got blocked immediately!! When I downloaded again months later, the same guys kept sending me likes to match again. GO AWAY! It’s very disturbing.

I went on a date with a man who chased me through multiple dating apps only for him to tell me his thoughts over dinner and when I tried to respond, he hushed me!! He told me I wasn’t there for that. I wasn’t even intending on debating him, just offering my observation on how workplace culture was changing. He didn’t want to hear it. He also debated me on my height and gaslighted me. I was honestly shocked that he was floored because I told him I don’t want to go out with him again! Did he think…

I am always amazed at the guys who are competitive about everything and want to go toe to toe on education, career, etc, even when you don’t want to....then they say modern women only want to talk about work. I feel like they just want one of the guys. So weird!

“I’m not a nice guy but I’m a good guy”... ...was always visibly aroused in my presence and eventually just zoned out looking at my body (I was in a very modest dress lol?). He tried to pressure me to let him come to my home while alluding to overpowering me because he’s attracted to me and we hadn’t even kissed!! I ghosted ASAP! Very scary!

“Blue collar work ethic”. He’s a lawyer and scams people on the side....but couldn’t give me an answer as to what “blue collar work ethic” meant exactly....

That’s up / or down there with “I don’t have time for games”. That means I don’t have time for your games because I’m too busy playing mine!

So Alpha that I have to defend and protect myself. Or, they begin barking orders at me Immediately upon matching....a true Alpha!

“I won’t leave in the morning” - when he tried to convince me to have sex with him. I didn’t have sex with him and he ghosted. Lol

It’s weird because a bunch of guys won’t call me attractive then make comments about how I’m not complimenting them. One guy, from OLD, told me he was complimenting me too much (twice) and I was maxed out for the month. Who are these people?!!!

Agreed! That or they felt I was too attractive - so competition - and ignored me when they got a boyfriend and brought him around. I keep trying though.
