I’m going to go against the grain here - There are some (not many, but some) genuine catches on Bumble/Hinge (maybe one in a million on Tinder too). I think it’s better to meet irl but I’ve known women to get lucky online. However, they’re usually men who are recently ish (as in past year or so) out of a relationship. Not that this alone should stop you vetting of course. Men who are long term single but claim to want a relationship are either lying about wanting something serious or there’s som…

I notice how whenever people talk on reddit about anti vaxxers they talk about ‘karens’ and characterise the movement as ‘bored stay at home moms’, yet women are less likely to refuse vaccines lol

The top comment is a dude complaining about what his Mom put their family through and whilst I don’t doubt he had a tough childhood the whole time all I could think was... where’s the dad? Why isn’t he blaming the dude for buying his mom and then throwing her and her kid away like trash? The mom was probably doing the best she could for her kid whilst his dad couldnt give less of a fuck but she’s the shitty parent who ruined his life?

I read an article a few days ago on this. the source was one of Chris’ former cellmates, so he might just be looking for a quick buck selling a story. Could be true, but definitely not for certain.

To be fair, the age gap is an example, hence the ‘like’ at the beginning of the sentence. It’s an unfortunate example and probably stems from unconscious bias, but she’s (its a female reporter) not saying that it’s got to be that.

It’s not your ‘branding’ I don’t think. Basically every woman I’ve spoken to on here and irl says men ask them for coffee/drinks/a walk. It’s often reccomended by male dating coaches/forums as a good ‘tip’. It’s usually in the vein of it’s cheaper, less effort and you can dip whenever you like. It’s a for sure indicator that he sees you as an option, as one of many. Men who routinely ask for coffee especially usually date multiple women at once in my experience.

I saw this on twitter and his profile was linked. Don’t know if I’m allowed to link it here but let me just say, as you’ve probably all guessed, the dude who posted this is not in a position to be judging women’s attractiveness. (not that sexual violence is neccessarily linked to attractiveness anyway.) also note - he compares sexual assault statistics to sexual harassment statistics as if its the same thing. How ignorant.

It increases recidivism because it makes it nearly impossible to reintegrate into society, making them more likely to become isolated and homeless - which then in turn raises their odds of reoffending. It’s actually a pattern you see in many crimes and it’s a tough line to draw. You have to balance the interests of a community/employer knowing things with the ability of released convicts being able to get jobs, housing and other resources which decrease their odds of reoffending and make them le…

I don’t think it’s a feminist issue but I actually do think that the data shows sex offender registries don’t really work and might actually increase recidivism. They’re a pretty bad way of tackling sex offenses. Honestly the whole justice system needs an overhaul. But I agree, why is it feminists responsibility to do this particularly? I’m so sick of feminism being treated as a catch all

The worst part is as the kid is a boy he’ll grow up thinking this is fine and probably wind up treating women just like his dad did. It’s a horrible cycle.

It’s the public humiliation on top of all that too 🤢 Treating your wife so disrespectfully in front of the ‘boys’ (ugh) is so childish and pathetic. It’s middle school level shit. edit - if she even is the wife and not just forever gf 🤦🏼‍♀️

I know people will say it’s ‘art’ and if you don’t get it you’re uncultured, but I don’t understand why men are never the subject of these pieces. Why do they never depict the torture/sexual abuse of men, if its all about art and message? Less horrifying, but it reminds me of the fact that most of the nudes in the met are women, but the vast majority of artists featured are men. So bored of the male gaze.

North Carolina also didn’t have a rape by deception law until last year, and only because a woman campaigned for it. She was raped by her boyfriends friend (who was pretending to be her bf), went to police and they said well, there’s nothing we can do about it. Until last year, men could literally have sex with someone under the pretense that they were someone else completely legally. Absolutely archaic rape laws in NC also note for clarity - NC has had no withdrawal of consent for decades, this…

I probably won’t report if (god forbid) something happens, because I have a lengthy mental health history. But out of interest, is it at all likely to get a conviction in this case? I always feel like there would be no point reporting because I’m not a perfect victim. From what I hear It seems like to be believed on the stand you need to be near enough a saint

Is it bad that I almost want to give him credit for not wanting to introduce these women to his kids immediately? A lot of single dads will make their kids your responsibility on date one

17 years? Am I reading this wrong or is he saying they met when he was 17? That’s not late at all to get your first date/girlfriend, what the hell is this mindset that he had to ‘suffer’ for ages

There’s a grocery store near me selling valentines day kits (restaurants still closed here), with chocolate, flowers and a pre made dinner kit for men. They’re literally outside the store so men can buy them in passing. It’s literally being spoon fed to them and still so many can’t be bothered.

I hate how we’re meant to pretend there’s zero correlation between what we fantasise about and what we do in real life. It just seems so obvious that if you fantasise about murder/cannibalism/violence in general there’s a higher chance you are going to actually do those things??? I mean, Ted Bundy collected snuff porn comics as a child

There was a vlog which David Dobrik was forced to delete in which he and Jason joke about Jason wanting to sleep with Tana Mongeau (in front of Trisha, even though she says on camera she’s uncomfortable and doesn’t find it funny. Tana - who is also fucking there while they discuss her like a piece of meat - also tells them to stop. Tana is 18 at the time. Jason is in his forties. Someone then asks Jason why he wants Tana and David says its because Jason ‘likes broken girls’. Jason agrees. Both N…

Her refusing to tell her mom how long the relationship has existed 🤢 If she hadn’t have been underage when it began, she would definitely have said that.

I’m going to go against the grain and say I think extensive background checks are a bad idea. They’re a privacy nightmare (and most developed countries have strict laws limiting who can see arrest records and court documents, they won’t let this happen), and it would mean that if Tinder ever got hacked, a hacker could obtain thousands of single women’s addresses. Not to mention serious predators/traffickers will easily evade it through name changes/false ids etc and it will give a false sense of…

The idolisation of serial killers and mass murderers isn’t a TikTok phenomenon, look at Manson/Ramirez/Bundy; they all had groupies decades before TikTok. Hybristophilia is a well documented psychological problem, unfortunately this is nothing new.

Does no one else think there’s an obvious compromise here? Couldn’t Dad take daughter by himself on a day out or something? Even where Covid is bad such as the UK you’re allowed to go to garden centres/on walks/to see stuff outdoors with your household Dad takes daughter on day out = alone time achieved without having to throw out fiancee

ironically I love skirts/dresses/tights and my ex told me my clothes were ‘uncool’ and wanted me to dress in that baggy jean/grungy ‘cool girl’ look (no offense to anyone who dresses like that, you do you, but it wasnt for me) you just cant win

I would take that link out - its unfortunately very very easy to get doxxed (the town alone might be alright but from a scan of your profile I can tell your age/age of your ex/when you broke up/what kind of dog you had/that you have at least one cat) I live nowhere near where you live, but if I did I might be able to identify you with that information alone.

Also I’m not donating to the food bank so lvm can get free dates there those resources are meant to be for people who need that shit - this girl obviously didnt (maybe she felt bad for taking charity she doesnt need/isnt meant for her) I mean, would you sleep in a homeless shelter if you had a house??

To be fair, any man who reads Catcher in the Rye and thinks Holden doesn’t give a damn has missed the point so completely I wouldn’t even know what to say to them. It’s one of my favourite books of all time and it kills me how much people misinterpret it.

Listen, I want to get married one day soon so I conpletely get it, but you’re seventeen. I wish I was seventeen again lol - the world is your oyster in a way it probably never will be again. You do not want to get stuck at home with a man at age 18, 19, 20 etc. This is your time to try new things, travel/study abroad, party if thats your thing and start a life beyond high school. Be alone - I saw girls give up their dream colleges, or travel plans or jobs because they ‘had to’ stay with their bo…

this happened to my friend a couple weeks ago and she’s giving him another chance 🙄. He told her he had a ‘family emergency’ (no details, ofc) and didnt even bother to text her until a couple days later after standing her up. Also even if his story was true (which I doubt), its not as though he was in hospital/unconscious/etc, he still could have texted her.

‘I have a roommate not a husband’ Girl, you don’t even have a roommate. Roommates actually contribute to bills, and should pull their weight cleaning the house.
