In our community, it is understood very early on that no one owes you anything and no one will extend a hand out to you. You have to work hard to overcome the setbacks of slavery and racism. 2	How close to average are you? I make more than the average. Have more in savings. Haven't lived paycheck to paycheck since college (literally less than 12 months ago.)
