I literally just had a hysterectomy for my endometriosis and adenomyosis, and guess what I was prescribed? Nothing. Was told to take up to 800mg of ibuprofen every 4-6 hours. Problem is ibuprofen destroys my stomach if I take it too often. Can't eat solid food for a few more days because having gas or a bm is very painful rn. Doctor just told me to tough it out for a week, no activity or lifting for 6 weeks and then it'll be smooth sailing with no more painful periods. Which is great. Except one…

Most snakes aren't venomous. Yet if you put a bunch of snakes in a box and ask someone to stick their hand in it while reminding them most aren't venomous you'll get a lot of hard nos.

Glad you are. Its refreshing to see someone describe what a slime slimeball he is so thoroughly.

This is especially obvious in the science community. Any discovery whatsoever HAS to be fought over for the right to put their name on it. The first time I realized this was after watching And the Band Played On when I was younger and realizing how much harm Robert Gallo did to so many people all because he HAD to have the credit for discovering the virus. It's infuriating.

I'm going to be 40 next month. When I was younger I hated the thought of being alone, mostly during the time I was struggling with the idea of walking away from my daughter's NVM father. Then I did and over some time really began to enjoy not having the stress of caretaking for a manchild. But still it lingered in my mind, what was I going to do with myself once my girls were grown? I thought if I was very selective maybe I could find a partner that complimented my lifestyle and we could be happ…

I'd say we do need to see her. The most prevalent myth regarding feminists in general is we are all old, ugly, fat and bitter hags who don't care about their appearance (even for their own self worth, not the male gaze.) Our society leans so heavily on beautiful women for advertising because it works on both male and female consumers. Men want to possess them and women want to be them. I'm sure there's a better way to get the message across but at the simplest levels, it works. I would much rath…

My country ass wanted to kick him in the knee then beat him in the face with a shoe once he was down there with me. But i was dressed like a lady and not 10 anymore.

Oh no, I was 30 and he was older than me by a little, I dont remember exactly but I do remember thinking about how he was older than me and it was a ridiculous scene. I really was doing some mental gymnastics just to try to comprehend the mocking. After he bumped me and I fell I was so outraged and hurt it took me a while to be able to drive home. And I still haven't been back to the ice cream shop.

Seems so. I just thought he was some awkward douche. Its been like 9 years and I've never had a date or have even heard of someone having a date like that since. It has to be some desperate Hail Mary move to find a woman with seriously low self esteem, like u/pm_me_your_molars said.

Wow. I had a date similar years ago. It was my first date after I left an 11 year relationship, my daughter's father. And it was nearly a year after that. I hadn't wore a dress or heels in years so I bought this cute outfit and heels and felt really nice. Met the guy at an ice cream shop to have ice cream before we were to go to a museum. Had talked for about a month before so I felt comfortable. While we were having ice cream and talking he would mock me, sing-song voice repeating what I just s…

He actually treated me really, really good until recently. That's why it hurts so much. He started talking about things he had noticed and I laughed it off, thinking he was just still hurt from a previous relationship or something and told him I wasn't even remotely interested in anyone else. Then it happens again. And again. And each time it's more outlandish than the last. I got scared he might really be delusional and took a step back and yeah, he just kept coming at me with these wild accusa…
