I'm confused. You say the violence mostly affects women. You say that around 3,000 women die violently each year. Then you say that 30,000 men die violently each year. How is 3,000 more than 30,000?
Because the state wants to have these expensive welfare programs so they look like they care, but they don't really want to have to pay for them. If they can find a random guy to pay for a kid that isn't his then that mom is more likely to not be on welfare.

The courts dont care about what is right, they claim to care about what is best for the child. In reality, the state doesnt want to have to pay for all they welfare they promise so they find the closest available male and make him pay.
I believe that you will rise to the occasion. But you need to make sure to take care of yourself. Ask questions when you have questions. Ask for help when you need help. With the child, I will just say one thing. Babies cry. They do it even when there is nothing you can think of that they need. Check their diaper, try to feed them, and if nothing else works then give them time. Make sure they are safe and walk away. Give yourself and the baby ten minutes.
