I really enjoyed the stoic chapter and the meditation chapter. In the most basic sense it helped me realize that there is no point in trying to control the world around you just accept reality and move on with the hand your dealt. Do not get attached to the emotions you're feeling - accept them, feel them, and move on.

Holy shit. As a 22 year old dude, I was diagnosed with Leukemia 3 months ago too and this is all dead-accurate on my half as well. The girls, the friends, and especially the family. You can only rely on yourself, and your family is the only people who truly care about you. If you need to talk to someone going through similar mental and physical stresses you can always DM me. Keep strong regardless, friend.

It's called serendipity. By involving yourself in many different things or just anything at all, you'll start to find your own path that you actually enjoy. Reading is a perfect example. Just picking up a book and thinking back to the part that you were interested in and picking another book based on that and so on and so on and you'll eventually stumble upon something beneficial to yourself by exposure to so many things. Serendipity is chance, but you increase the odds by actually putting yours…

Still a lurker here, been subscribed to seddit for about 2 months. Still trying to find my confidence and self-appreciation. It took a long dry spell for me to start looking on reddit for answers, after stumbling through /r/relationships, I found you guys. It's been a ride and I always feel better reading and acting on your advice, but obviously I'm still working on it. Thanks for everything, people who read this!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
