I hear everyone saying that we need more laws for women in india, because they are oppressed and all that, but quite honestly all we need is gender neutral laws. With severe punishment in cases of abuse of such laws. Laws should really not be variable to gender, caste, religion, ethnicity or whatever.

Yep everybody is hating on the dad, the kid should be greatful for the times he has had with his "dad", the mother had 18 years to explain it to the child, but didn't care to do so, and now she cries when confronted Everytime.
