Ah, I forgot. I get shamed more than a man would for thinking a certain way because of what sex I am. There's another reason I'm dropping the label, lol. If I wanted to keep dealing with that, I'd have stayed a fundamentalist like my parents. Like how does my sex matter here? Not all AFAB people/women are feminists. Feminism is a political movement, to conflate it with sex/gender is a generalization. A lot of us are leaving because of this. The issue I have, as someone who has been a feminist fo…

Leave us alone or be prepared for women to fight back What "fighting back" are women going to do? Literally all of the so-called fighting that modern feminists seem to do is just complaining about video games they don't play and other stuff online and now refusing to sleep with men. I used to ID as a feminist myself, but honestly I've gotten so sick of the fact that "activism" has basically just turned into trying to be as much of a nuisance as possible that I'm dropping the label, lol.

They do this with body shaming and beauty standards too. They'll blame men for body shaming being a thing, but as someone who's experienced it... almost all of it is done by women. Like they can be absolutely vicious, they will tear you down for not looking like them, make you feel like you're less than, and will continuously bully and harrass you for it. Yet they blame men for all of it, when most men at most will say something that equates to "I wouldn't fuck you" and be done with it. It's act…

Honest titles will always get fewer clicks, unfortunately. I have a youtube channel, and it is so hard to make a title that is both honest and will actually catch people's attention. I just decided to start making the thumbnail more colorful, it seems to work, lol.

In regards to custody it should be 50/50 custody the children go with one parent half the year and then go to the other parent the other half of the year I really hope you don't mean being at each one for 6 months straight. I think I would've offed myself if I had to be at my mom's house for that long 🤦

When I was a kid, my mom lived in a very low income neighborhood, and it was in a more crowded part of the city. She'd actually get catcalled almost every time we left the house to walk to the store. Now she was weird and loved it, kept on bragging about it actually. I mean, at least it didn't bother her, but still. It happens. But how often it happens to people on average is hard to accurately determine.

At the core of many, however, is a group that sees women actually becoming more self-confident as a threat to their meal ticket- and the decisions they make to push fear and feelings of powerlessness are VERY deliberate. Hmm, that makes a lot of sense right there. See, I've identified as feminist for a long time, but my idea of it, my goal, was that I wanted enough progress to be made to where feminism will become completely obsolete. That eventually, no more work will be necessary, and it will …

"when was i offended" exactly what someone offended would say. It's also what someone who isn't offended would say too, obviously. What is the response you want? Because apparently, there is no right answer. This is one of those "you can't win" statements, which people like you use to try to use to feel better than others. It's dishonest, and maybe even manipulative.

Ew, they look ugly as fuck anyways XD Also, rape is way more likely to be committed by someone that the victim knows or is in a relationship with. For these to be maximally effective, a woman would have to basically just never take them off.

It's a further pushing of the idea of learned female helplessness (which is then claimed to be inherent). This is something I've been thinking about for a while now. Like I (only bringing up my experience to add to the point) have had this idea in my head, which was in part put there by online "activists," that I am in constant danger no matter where I go. It was so exhausting, being incredibly hyper vigilant and feeling like I couldn't even leave the house at night, despite being in a relativel…

I don't apply to work on an oil rig because I'm 5'2 and 110 pounds, with almost no muscle. Women are physically weaker than me on average, so we're less likely to choose a job that requires heavy physical labor. Women and men are just more likely to pick different jobs by nature, and that's okay. Also I just don't want to, lol. I'm happy when I get to create things or work on a project, so freelance work eventually may be my thing. I would likely be making less than a lot of hard labor jobs, con…

“There are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president,” he said. “ There's other reasons why someone may not want to vote for a candidate that happens to be a woman than their gender, but ok. Also, imagine trying this hard to look like an ally and appeal to feminists, but still call women "females," which is something they regularly get all pissed off over, lol.

A lot of them use personal experience, aka an anecdote, not realizing that there are often factors that make it so that people in their bubble may have a higher chance of it happening to more of those people. Like in my personal life, a lot of my family members were sexually abused as a children, some raped as adults. In in my frame of reference it seems like an insanely high percentage of people must be getting sexually assaulted. But, the thing is that when it comes to child sexual abuse, it c…

included seduction (a man tries to kiss a woman and she says no, so he stops, the date continues a few hours and then she is into it) Apparently, a lot of feminists believe that women aren't competent enough to change their mind on something. It's like they see women as children who can't make decisions or think for themselves. Sometimes I think some of them are more misogynistic than people who actually don't treat women as equals, lol. Honestly it's insulting to victims of rape to go around saying that every type of sexual assault/harrassment is rape. Like honestly, on what planet is getting groped (while still not okay and definitely very upsetting) the same as rape? One typically leaves victims at least somewhat hypervigilant in public, the other often leads to straight-up PTSD. Like they could just separate these numbers into rape, non penetrative sexual assault, and sexual harassment (cat calling, for example). That would …

I thought it was 95%, according to something else I saw a long time ago, lol. That's the thing I hate about the statistics people throw around, they vary so heavily depending on the source. How do we know who to listen to 🤦 Oh, and no one looks into the methodology of any of these studies/surveys. People see a number that fits their narrative, don't actually look into any details of where it came from, and then blindly defend it against people who doubt it.

Also immediately going to that he had to be abusive is very sexist Oh definitely. Why can't people accept that sometimes, a woman can just be evil. I have a theory that if women had evolved to have the same average amount of muscle mass as men, then violence from both genders would be much closer to 50/50. We can be equally as evil, but just don't have the man power (pun not intended) to commit these crimes on a wider scale.

also lol I love (/s) how one minute women are strong independent boss babes, but then are "just a girl 🥺" when it's convenient. Okay, not like I've never played dumb to get out of a ticket, so maybe this is hypocritical XD but I'd say that's a little less extreme than murder lol.

That's sort of part of why I left tiktok too. I had a relatively decent sized platform on there where I talked about social rights, etc. But I'd always lose a couple of followers every time I treated the "opposition" as real live humans or even so much as imply that the killallmen/any similar hashtags were harmful. Oh, also I had to avoid saying "not all men" or I'd get harrassed. I'd always reword it so it wouldn't trigger their over the top responses, but that was annoying as hell. It's like I…

What’s traumatizing from committing a literal FELONY?! I think they mean that he must've done something to drive her to the point that she went out and did this, or that it may have been self-defense. Of course, we don't yet have anything to base this on, no proof or any indication that there may have been some abuse from him. And there may not ever end up being any. It's pure speculation based on gender. Also, dismembering someone is a bit too far to say that it was out of any kind of self-defe…

I think the “gender wage gap” is more about how women fall behind- and where they need improvement- When you really think about it, this statement is not a bad thing at all. If anything, its a great point. It is true that a lot of women don't advocate for themselves as much, be it because of personal experiences in being talked over or simply just not being encouraged to improve their communication skills as children/teenagers. Hmm, haven't heard of the association fallacy until now. I just looked it up, will be using this to debunk things from now on. People use that shit a lot. I watched a video earlier today from ShoeOnHead, who (according to online activists) is actually a far right neo-nazi conservative pick me girl who's pretending to be a leftist (for what reason, who knows), all because she kinda just makes jokes about feminists and isn't a misandrist. Here's the problem with those kind of subreddits and a lot of online "activism" in general; they don't allow any actual discourse. There's no one to point out a bad/poorly constructed argument, so they keep using it. Oh, that and they have a tendency for one to watch a video, slightly misrepresent the argument, then another person repeats that argument but changes something, and then another does it, and another... it's all a big shitty game of telephone. My daughter has to be witness to my wife’s physical and verbal violence to me as well. She also has verbally abusive towards our daughter. I still remember being a small child and hiding behind the couch while my mom screamed and threw things at my dad. That kind of thing really sticks with people as they grow up, and somehow being told that a mother is the more "nuturing" gender is just a slap in the face. See, I'm sure it happens. Like there are likely specific stores with a biased manager that are a subsect of a larger company. At these individual stores/facilities, it's possible that there is a real discrepancy between the wages of equally competent men and women where women make less. There's managers that are doing shady shit all the time, and they absolutely can make up a BS reason to be doing this. Or, they don't even realize that they are doing it, as bias can be subconscious. Shelters for male abuse victims are important for this too. My ex actually was almost killed by his ex gf (they lived together at the time), but there weren't any shelters that he could go to as all of them were exclusively for women. He also didn't go to the police for the exact reason you've mentioned, so he ended up just going back home after a few hours as he didn't know anyone he could stay with. "as a man, what rights are we missing" People always use the fact that men do have rights on paper, but as is true in a lot of areas for any demographic, some of those rights are not enforced. You would think that this would be easy for people to understand, as what I just said there is an argument often used by feminists if you just replace the word men with women, lol Edit: excluding rape laws. I've always thought that it should benefit everyone, as they constantly claim that they want to break down gender roles, which in fact affect both men and women. Eventually, though, I realized that a lot of them pretty much only want to get rid of the gender roles that negatively affect women, while basically putting new gender roles in place for men. But they don't seem to realize that this is doing more harm than good for their own cause. They're shooting themselves in the foot, lol. Well, the…

There was some kind of job fair that was supposed to be just for women (what happened to equal opportunity?) and a bunch of men got into it by claiming to be nonbinary, kind of as a way to make fun of the whole thing. Feminists were flipping out about "men are invading our spaces" and saying "men are making fun of nonbinary people," but honestly, I thought it was pretty funny. If this happened, the argument would be "well it's not the same because... patriarchy." But I don't really see why it has to be exactly the same thing for it to be wrong, it's still harmful and just plain mean. It really is a breath of fresh air to see women like yourself be allies of men. So thank you A lot of it really is that I've seen a lot of men in my life really, genuinely suffer, and I have a little brother who will have to grow up in this world. Actually, hes already been extensively harrassed by a girl at school, but the teachers won't do anything about it because they don't see it as being a big deal. Oh 100%. I can't imagine it'd be easy for me to trust men if they were saying "kill all women" on Twitter 24/7, so it's not a huge leap to say that I understand why a lot of men feel the way they do. I watch Shoeonhead on YouTube, and one thing she talks about a lot is the fact that feminists constantly belittling men and saying that their issues don't matter because "men have it easier" (idk how we define easier but ok) is actually pushing young boys and men towards spaces that will only intens…

Yea that is crazy that such a young kid would be accused of something this serious. Makes me worried for my little brother honestly. There was a guy I dated who lost his friend group after being falsely accused by this one girl. People would want me to say I don't believe him, but honestly, I do. He was messed up from the experience, and absolutely panicked one time he (accidentally) made me uncomfortable. This kind of thing really does screw with people and we should talk about it.

We’ve been listening to rape jokes and wife-beating jokes and smiling and gritting our teeth since forever." Last I checked, "don't drop the soap" and prison rape jokes about men have been popular for a long time, but okay ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Actually I saw an article about how a man was raped by multiple women who force fed him energy drinks and viagra to keep him hard. It's always a pain trying to get these people to understand that women can have disadvantages in some areas, but also have the advantage in others. Men can have an advantage in one thing, but suffer in another thing. Life is so much more complicated than people think, but a lot of people want to be the sole victim, lol.

Honestly, the leftist/feminist community can be so mind-numbing. It's almost nothing but whining about unimportant things, coupled with people just parroting the same phrases over and over and expecting you to do the same. There's no real mental stimulation, with the exception of staring at your phone watching tiktoks for hours on end, every single day. Hardly any important conversations, and a lot of people just praising each other for being visibly manic/otherwise mentally ill (example: "omg g…

Unfortunately I took a detour into the tiktok "activism" thing when I was 19, but people there would get so mad any time I'd say that we should try to see the other side as just people, not as evil misogynists/rapists/bigots. I've seen women online say that they'd trust any other woman with their life. That is terrible advice 🤦 But I like something along the lines of "be sympathetic towards all potential victims." Basically, it'd be great if people could hear out the victim, regardless of gender, while also not immediately dogpiling the accused. That way we can figure out what actually happened.

Funny thing is, I have experienced genuine sexism, especially as a child (though, oddly, it came fairly equally from men and women, so it wasn't even a "men bad" thing lol). I'm talking some severe stuff that I don't really want to go into. But it seems like most of these people havent actually experienced any real oppression. It seems like it's somehow socially acceptable for older women to be creepy towards young men, when the opposite is getting less acceptable. Like I've seen quite a lot of things about how a lot of women, celebrities and fans alike, acted very inappropriately towards Justin Beiber when he was young. I'm seeing something similar with Walker Scobell, there was someone who made a countdown timer to when he turns 18. Absolutely disgusting.

It's genuinely frustrating, honestly. Personally, I feel that getting rid of this whole gender war thing should be a priority for feminists, yet they only want to perpetuate it. And I get told that I'm "not a real feminist" for suggesting that men's rights should be involved if we want to accomplish anything further(and also for criticizing third wave feminism). As someone who's identified as a feminist for a long time, I'm beginning to realize that modern feminism just isn't helping anyone. It seems like all they do (mainly the ones that are very active online) is shit on men, which in turn makes a lot of men hate on women back. And everyone has their needs overlooked, regardless of gender. Like genuinely, the "man or bear" and "kill all men" trends do nothing to help the cause. If anything it makes it worse. I'm sorry you're dealing with this... one possible tip is that if you don't think that your current therapist is actually helping you, you could request a new one. Most places will let you do that since, as therapists are people, they aren't perfect, and you will not connect with all of them. Some people may not like the idea of figuring out what that "why" actually is. They want it to be something short, simple, and easy to make a tweet about. Which is likely why what they say ends up being something like "men are just bad fathers" since that fits in twitter's character limit, lol It definitely has to actually be a much more complicated issue, but that would take more than 280 characters to talk about ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Egalitarianism is definitely a good term, it's good to care about equality for all. though as for the name I choose, I do want to find something that is a bit more specific to gender for this purpose. I'm going to do more research on what may fit best. Also, I did check out that subreddit. There definitely has to be a huge reporting bias. The number of guys I've known in real life who have told me some "funny" story that happened to them as a very young teenager, only for it to actually have been an older man/woman having groomed them, is entirely too many. A lot of boys might not even know what grooming can look like because it isn't talked about with them as much, so they don't report it.

Even as someone who does identify as a feminist, I agree. I believe that part of modern feminism should be about holding women accountable, for example in the numerous cases of adult women getting away with abusing underage boys. We're supposed to be equal, so why aren't all of us holding each other to a higher standard? A pedophiIe's a pedophiIe after all. See, being careful is important when meeting a new guy. Those bad men are more likely to be actively looking for someone to hurt.
