Thank you so much for your advice. You're exactly right – I should enjoy each day at a time, focus on my own stuff and just let things happen. I am fortunate enough to be healthy, I'm doing well in life in general and I should quit stressing over things that are out of my control. I wanted a casual relationship and got exactly that. I'm really sorry about your kidney failure. It's an awful condition, but it's inspiring to hear that you are not letting it take over your life!

Thanks. Well, pulling back and cutting contact worked - she actually started chasing me after those couple of days. The thing is, you're right, it's not about a technique I pull, it's about being happy with myself. The sad reality is, I don't think I'll ever be in a place where I'm fit for a relationship. I'm doing great in life, not much room for improvement there, but my self esteem won't ever be where it needs to be. I've done enough therapy and self-help to know. When I'm single, I feel grea…

I'm at the top of my game. My business is booming and I'm about to have the best month (financially) in my entire life. Yet all I want is a message from a chick who doesn't respect me. Fuck me I honestly don't know what else to do

Yeah you might be right. I guess I am looking for a way to change the dynamics in the relationship. The truth is, I didn't know much about her when entering the relationship. Turns out she's pretty cold and has serious attachment issues. She likes to party a lot and despite her very young age, she's already left a trail of short, messy relationships where she always ended up dumping the guy in a ruthless manner. Worst part is, it's exactly the type of girls I'm attracted to.

Thanks. It's good advice. I was planning on cutting contact completely, but maybe that's too harsh, I'll ask her how her exams went in a day or two, but I'm not gonna try to set up a date anymore. And yes, you're absolutely right, I feel like I want to jump into a relationship with anyone who will give me attention. It's annoying but I can't help it. I spent 3 years of my life single, working on myself. I have a well paying job, a profitable business, I do well in sports and music and have multi…

Thanks. She does seem to be a bit more distant, testing me a bit more and treating me with less respect than before. It's pretty obvious I'm not a priority to her. In the past, it's exactly how I got dumped multiple times - showing too much interest. I guess I'm paranoid about that now.

Not that much. She's just hard to "catch". We're exclusive, but not fully committed, I'm not yet a priority to her. During our last date, talking about this stuff made me lose my frame and say some needy stuff (like I'm worried about her leaving me) - but nothing terrible really. I'm more invested than she is and I want to pull away before I fuck things up. I just don't know how to do it properly. She did initiate texting after our last date so maybe it would be dumb to go no contact on her

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
