Oh damn so how did things work out with your gf? You end up telling her?

Damn that’s a harsh reality but exactly what I need to hear. So just to be clear, you think it’s a good idea to keep cold approaching?

This is true but I think it only applies if you have a social life and go out and do things on a regular basis. If you’re “working on yourself” but are a loner or spend most of the time by yourself girls won’t even know you exist. If you go to concerts, events with your friends, and mainly aim to have fun (not just “get girls”) it has been my experience that yes, girls will come to you. Of course you have to make sure you are the best version of yourself. Nice haircut, well groomed/well dressed,…

For me I think I don’t smile much when approaching girls because I get nervous as hell. When you’re nervous you feel uncomfortable and when I’m uncomfortable I don’t feel happy. Hmm, that’s interesting that you mentioned just having a “simple smirk.” I remember approaching one girl, I used an opener saying I thought she was cute and wanted to talk to her. I saw that she looked a bit startled and wasn’t smiling, I gave a slight smirk and then she smiled back and seemed more comfortable during the…

Yes I’ve definitely creeped out a few women even though I don’t mean to!

Yeah it is definitely a weird thing for me, I guess I have the male equivalent of “resting bitch face.” I remember in high school people used to tell me they first thought I was mean/scary/angry because I looked serious all the time. Even though I’m actually a nice guy. Guess that’s still carrying over into my adult life lol. Any tips on how to smile more or look more friendly? Should I just force myself to smile even though it feels unnatural to me?

Update: I asked my friend to observe me while I cold approached a girl. He said that I look too serious and do not smile at all, I wonder how important smiling is in interactions. I’m gonna make a separate post about that

Yeah maybe I shouldn’t count it as a rejection, but I feel like some girls just say that because they don’t want to reject you directly.

Here’s a post you made on Seddit: “I fucking hate myself. I'm in a foreign country, literally know no one. Have nothing to lose. Have no more excuses. And yet, I couldn't say two words to the cute girl next to me. I have learned that I can change my environment, but I can't change myself. Deep rooted insecurities and rejection.” I feel bad for you man, I really do. But don’t try and bring others down to make yourself feel better. Getting rejected is 100 times better than not trying at all. But y…

Not at all. It's slowly destroying my ego and desensitizing me to rejection. My ego and fear of rejection have held me back for the longest time.

Ok good to know. I’ll just keep at it and try to refine my game day by day

I open by letting them know I think they’re cute, and try and have a normal conversation from there. I get nervous during the interaction sometimes when I run out of things to say. I think my biggest issue with conversation right now is that I’m too boring

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
