2	How To Stay Awesome When Complimented By Someone Couldn't agree more. I used to do that bullshit where you'd tell the person to shut up or say something demeaning about yourself. Then, I learned better from a friend of mine who would just say a sincere "Thank You" -- this blew my mind. 1	Best way to take a complement I compliment my friends all the time. The one person who simply says a sincere "thank you" always seemed the most appreciative.
