You miss the point. Truth is relatively relative. There's value - and lots of it - in figuring out patterns. But ultimately choosing a very specific, directed and bland view such as the one linked to is a choice I choose not to make. I don't believe what he's written is something to live by. Interesting article but it makes the universally made mistake of assuming that studies of our time and this times societies, esp best western, represent the core human psyche, which they do not. I would suggest that empathy is the norm for those who have "power" and authority since within a social construct, oppression, disdain and an exclusive attitude can only ever lead to social dysfunction and then collapse.
