She said later in the post that she was going to end it with him, so what your saying doesn't really make sense.

I subscribe to both Mr and relationships , I am not a feminist, and I don't always agree with either sub. I did see your deleted posts, and while I understand that your feelings about telling the father are very valid, and the reactions to your statement were stupid and mean, I don't really agree that she should tell him if it further complicates her decision to abort. Unfortunately, due to biology, men are not capable of carrying a fetus/child for 9 months, and have no understanding that regard…

I'm not going to say anything about the shoulda coulda woulda part other than you should never leave contraception up to anyone but yourself, especially not a broken up ex who is an ex for a reason. That being said, I'm sorry this happened, but get on top of it now. Establish a parenting plan that benefits both of you, figure out the money situation, because otherwise she will eat you alive in court (because judges favor women, duh). And don't give up on your political aspirations. Be an example…

I understand the safety risks, but if women are allowed to wear it long and in a bun, I don't see why he shouldn't be able to as well. As an EMT, I worked in prison medical wards, and before we went in, we had to make sure that our hair was pulled back into a bun, not a ponytail like I usually wore. That just seemed to be the norm. They do the same thing in the Military too... if you're a male, it has to be short, but females may choose a long hair style as long as it's in a French braid or a bu…

It doesn't account for how much each person works, how much time is taken off of work each year... what their specific job titles are.. nothing. Women need to realize how much of a line they are being fed these days and feminists need to stop making women out to be victims. I know I've had enough of the bullshit.

Oh fuck me... for real?!?! "Sexual assault is a man's issue"... so you're saying all women are helpless victims and magnets for sexual assault? Way to make us look even weaker. Stupid fucking feminist bullshit. :/ And seriously?!?! Like a woman never raped a man before? So insulting to men.. people need to be responsible for their sexual actions.. female or male.. or anywhere in between. I hate the assumptions made in this poster and so many others. Ok sorry lol end rant

Its a textbook from my sociology of gender class... called Gender Roles. .. I'm too tired to go look at the author.. but it is recent enough to include information on the 2008 Obama election. And yeah..there's a lot of feminist writing in it.. which is not suprising because the teacher is also a feminist.. more info tomorrow.

stole my comment. I was gonna say... shit, it's his fault you couldn't keep your panties on now? When are women going to start being held accountable for their own damn actions? Shit.

She commented this: Why distance ourselves? Men started the whole idea that feminism is a bad term, why would you be in favor of that? Feminism means wanting equality for both sexes.First, second and third wave feminists deserve the respect and recognition of their incredible determination and accomplishments. When someone says "feminism," it usually indicates a negative connotation to an ignorant person, period. To which I responded I'm not discrediting the work of feminism or the gains that it…

I replied to a comment on a school assignment saying the same thing, that we should disassociate from the word "feminism" simply because the word itself is gender bias. I got yelled at and called ignorant, and then after she was done being pissy, I let her have it. It was sweet revenge. :)

ok you're missing the point. I get that there aren't any legal avenues for men, I was merely stating my view and what I would say/do in that situation. The legal rights need to be there. I'm aware of that. No need to get snippy and point out legalities on my personal choices.

this infuriates me. As a woman who has sex (duh) I understand that if I choose to have sex, I'm risking pregnancy. With or without birth control, because it can happen. That being said, said partner also knows the risk, and if said pregnancy were to happen, he has as many rights as I do. If he doesn't want the responsibility of a child, and we took every precaution, and he says, hey, I'm not ready for a kid, and I still choose to raise it, guess what? I'm making the choice, therefore I should be…

I guess most people say this because they think sexual arousal in men is a definite choice, but I can't count how many times I've seen a teenage guy walk around with a book covering his parts because of a random boner. What also is crappy, is that people don't realize that sexual arousal also can happen in women who are being raped just as easily as it can happen to a man. It's the body's response, and almost uncontrollable. The only difference is, women don't have a flagpole to display and men …

apparently women can't handle it when a guy shows emotion, which is bullshit because you guys put up with crying and crap from us all the time, and that's not fair. good job on dumping her, you deserve better.
