No one is actually answering my question based on the points I made so I give up. It wouldn’t be an issue if he was ok with me getting my own tools. It’s not a problem if he doesn’t want me to use his. The problem is he is trying to keep me from using any period. That is why he suggests that I use his, on the condition that he is home, and what usually happens when he is home and I want to use his tools? He does the job for me. If he isn’t home, he coincidentally has his office locked so I don’t…

I’m a bit late to this party. I totally agree with what you’re saying, and want to add from my experience that it seems men unknowingly want to see women act like shitty people to confirm their own fears. I’ve had men tell me contradictory things about me, when I’ve barely been in a relationship with them, because they can’t see women as growing and changing people, even though they would be quick to give themselves that consideration. Say a woman isn’t financial stable but she’s striving to get…

Just recently jumped into this sub and I don’t get why people have a burning need to say men are this and women are that. Every person is different.. I can’t take this sub seriously because it’s filled with people who need to respond to all posts with their specific world view. Doesn’t matter if the original post has evidence of the contrary- it will still be rewritten to agree with what they believe.

Yes if he didn’t end up leaving them in his office I wouldn’t have an issue. What you asked is essentially my question but no one figured that out. “Oh he locks shared items in his room. Surely you are the problem.” Wtf?

It’s weird that you assert that it’s only some random thing I don’t like about him. Obviously there’s a connection you aren’t making. You could say I’m overreacting or sensitive but to say my question is about something I just dislike about a man is really far fetched.

Um wow the assertions you are making are wack. Nice try. It’s his office, so he has a key. I am only talking about tools so you are the one with weird thought processes. And I don’t know about you but 3 paragraphs is hardly time consuming nor difficult to write up. I could write 3 paragraphs about shit burning in flames so how is that a rant? And your response was just as long, and completely erroneous. Assuming an OP hasn’t considered options that weren’t mentioned only proves your own lack of …

Being into barely 17 year old girls/women(?) having an interest in movies starring such women, winking at such women after saying something that is on the border between harmless and flirty.

No, I meant a lose definition of misogyny, like adhering to patriarchal mindsets and sexism, and objectifying women.

I honestly havent figured out exactly what this sub is but maybe this question fits? If not then I guess I’ll take my walk of shame into lostredditors history. I think my husband is a bit of a misogynist. He was quick to make assumptions about me when he met me and he tends to stick with them despite telling me he’s trying to change and understand me. There’s a lot that bugs me about him but this is a very small portion of it: there are things I do sometimes and his response is “you never do tha…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
