I think there’s a fine line with frugal, I like that quality too but I always spend money on quality gifts and experiences for my loved ones. The last guy I dated always claimed he was frugal but he was stingy af. we dated for 6 months and each time was a movie and dinner at a low end restaurant. He didn’t get me anything for Valentine’s Day or my birthday. So I’m always cautious whenever a guy says he’s frugal.

Ignorant comments like this, that attempt to completely discredit the struggles of an entire gender, are why this sub can be extremely toxic.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/20 02:31 PM

Can you explain why? I follow FDS, and it's taught me to avoid toxic relationships with men who don't want to commit to me. All my past relationships failed because I realized I wasn't compatible with my exes long term, and has helped me recognize the men who are high value. No, the man I'm looking for doesn't need to be 6 feet tall, have a ripped body and make 6 figures, he just needs to be attractive TO ME and complement my personality and lifestyle.

This is so true. When I broke up with my last 2 exes, they both said “I don’t get it, we’re so compatible and get along so well” Truth is, we weren’t compatible at all, it was just me who was changing myself to cater to their personality. The first guy was sporty and extroverted and liked drinking, so I did those things too and pretended to enjoy them. The second guy was super nerdy, played video games all day and never left his house, and I did those things too to appease him. Neither of them e…

I can’t imagine losing 20 lbs, I’m in a healthy BMI range and don’t look even slightly chubby. But I’m not muscular or toned either.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/20 04:42 PM

I’m 5’3” 120 lbs and notice a lot of taller muscular guys at my gym like taller fit women too. Most of the guys who show interest in me tend to be on the shorter side, but that also might be because I’m South Asian and tend to get more interests from other minorities.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/20 04:14 PM

Are you tall and muscular?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/20 03:42 PM

You realize there’s no shortage of male competition, right? That the majority of the time, it’s women (yes even obese) who are rejecting men and not the other way around?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/20 03:59 PM

I’m 26F and have never desired a man who showed he didn’t care for me, no matter how attractive he was. There’s plenty of attractive men on OLD that I’ve matched with that don’t message regularly or show interest. It didn’t make me want them more or chase after them. I just delete and move on hoping to find someone who is attractive AND attentive.

It was 9 pm and we were texting for around 20 min and he seemed interesting and I just wanted a quick chat on the phone after texting for a week, but he said he was working and didn’t suggest another time we could. Seems like he just wants to go straight to meeting in person in a secluded area? When would be a better time to talk if he’s working at night too? Should I just move on from this guy or am I overreacting?

Then they should use the term minor and adolescent and state the age. There shouldn’t be ambiguous terms like girls or underage women.

I dated him back in 2018 for about 1 year and he is a LVM. He went to the casino to play poker every other weekend, drank copiously, gained 40 lbs while I was with him, also smoked weed everyday multiple times even though we weren’t supposed to because we were students, ate frozen pizza and junk food everyday, was dirty and never cleaned up after himself. He also had bipolar disorder. I moved and we broke up and he wasn’t able to accept it so I had to block him on my phone. But he still sends me…

You’re being so liMiTiNg, there’s no other way for me to share my passion for cooking with you unless you come over, forget picnics or parks. He probably doesn’t even cook well, it’s just his excuse to try to get women to come over to his place without being obvious.

Yeah, the fuck outta here with “moving, in could be a week or month?” Like who doesn’t know when they’re moving? Ugh. Good catch.

At least 5'9-5'10" Good stable job, motivated to work and improve No drinking/smoking/porn/video game addictions In decent shape, doesn't have to be muscular, just not obese, have a good frame and broad shoulders Good communication and social skills, respectful, understanding, patient, not macho/cocky, reasonable, not aggressive or controlling Similar values on living a cruelty-free, healthy and environmentally conscious lifestyle (vegan/vegetarian etc)

I think she just snapped tbh I don’t think she meant it as a power move, she was just frustrated at being ignored and took it out on the device.

Seriously, the comments were reacting as though she smashed the console with a hammer or something. All she did was unplug it 😐

That’s how I felt too. I was surprised by how all the comments said she was YTA. Why can he not decompress by spending time with his GF instead of mindlessly playing video games? If that’s the case then he probably doesn’t even like his GF’s personality and is just using her.

NEVER chase a man. They will immediately devalue you if you initiate. Deep down they’ll think you’re cheap. I learned the hard way.

It’s disgusting how many upvotes he got. Apparently other men think it’s okay to drag a woman along who you don’t even find attractive and treat her like an object until one day you realize other women view you as trash, and she’s the only one pining for you because she doesn’t know any better, so you “settle” until the next one comes along.

It's sad that she still says she loves him. Hopefully the comments will give her a wakeup call. She needs to dump him immediately.

At the end she says she was accused of cheating on her husband. How could she cheat when she’s not even physically able to? This is so vile.

The most important thing is that you were able to overcome your illness and are getting healthy again! If I knew my partner was going through something traumatic like that, and they gained a little weight, that wouldn’t bother me at all. In fact I’d be GLAD they had gained instead of lost weight. That guy is a shallow asshole. I went through a traumatic experience at the end of 2018 and had gained 12 lbs. I’ve finally lost 5 lbs and am in the path to going back to my usual weight. You can do it,…

I mean, Sharpay was also a little self centered, spoiled and manipulative, but I agree she really set her mind to things and was musically talented. The end of the movies always showed her in a more positive light.

This sounds really off. You said you can’t even have a conversation with him, how are you even supposed to have a relationship with him? It sounds like you’re just physically attracted to him. He also sounds like he has obsessive tendencies. Run.

When I was 19 and my older brother was 26, he came into my room one time and asked me to give him a HJ. I was so shocked and disgusted. I ran downstairs to my mom and cried and told her what happened. She said something like “that was wrong but things like that happen in families.” WTF? Once he saw how upset I was, he did seem regretful and stressed for a long time. He apologized. Of course what he did was inexcusable, but I think a huge factor that influenced him was he was probably watching in…

“Self proclaimed nice guy” = The bare minimum of a man. I don’t physically attack or rape women or have a criminal record, this sets me apart from all the bad guys, so I’m a nice guy, you should date me. No matter if I’m cheap or stingy, have a low paying job, live with my parents in my 30s, can’t cook or clean, lazy and addicted to video games, obese and eat junk food all the time.

Yep, that was the first thing that came to mind when I read that post—the father is sexually attracted to a 16 year old girl, is unable to process his vile feelings, so he takes it on her and his son, he is malicious and jealous of the time that his 7 year old son is spending with the girl. Just disgusting.

Some of these seem a little unreasonable and overly judgmental. Judging someone by their eye color and hair color and texture? People shouldn’t be dissected like lab experiments over their individual physical traits that are out of their control, attraction should be holistic. And if someone is a vegetarian? To me that indicates a more healthy and humane lifestyle. This is too harsh imo.

Disregarding your needs over their own. Isolating you from your friends and family. Making you feel dependent on them and like you’re incapable of surviving without them. Emotionally manipulating you into staying in a relationship with them, telling you that they’re the best partner you’ll ever have, that you’re lucky to have them, no one else will do for you what they do. Preventing you from personal growth and career advancement. Mocking your goals and interests. Empty words and grandiose prom…

Wow is a special kind of addiction for gamer men. My ex was addicted and had been since high school, he barely graduated, he’s 32 now, still lives at home and it’s still his primary hobby, he must play at least 5-10 hours each day. He sees nothing wrong with this 🙄

I broke up with the guy I was seeing for 6 months because I asked him if we could talk on the phone for a few times a week at nighttime to maintain our connection since we weren’t seeing each other in real life. A week later he says he couldn’t handle the phone calls and told me he was only doing it because I liked them. He literally was just sitting at home playing WoW the entire night.

I agree with you. I wish I had waited til I was with a HVM. But I think there is value in having some sexual experience, a lot of young women who are virgins might feel like entering relationships prematurely quickly so that they can have sex, because they simply don’t have the experience to understand the importance of the emotional aspect of it. The act of sex is idolized and until I had it did I not realize how important it was to have a real emotional connection with the man. I was just so d…

You can tell when he first asks her “have I told you how good of a baker you are?” That she’s bracing herself internally for some sort of negative comment from him. She responds timidly because she knows what’s coming next. 😞

I thought what she baked looked delicious. And you can tell she was just enjoying her hobby peacefully. And it looked like she’d made some for her BF too. He didn’t even give any fucks when she looked up at him with a hurt expression on her face. I hope she leaves him. You can bet his fat ass definitely ate 90% of the treats she made after he was done filming his “hilarious” video.

You deserve someone who admires and values your physical appearance as you are. Notice how all the reasons he dismissed you are because you don’t fit his physical ideal. He didn’t mention anything emotional or intellectual. He’s extremely shallow. PLEASE just block him! You deserve much, much better.

Modern men have such low energy, everything has to be convenient, they don’t want to put effort into dating anymore and it shows. If a woman has to pursue a man, it shows weak male social competence and low confidence, which are traits women seek in men. Why do men act like women are a different species? Is it so difficult to do a friendly, non creepy approach? Or they’re just too afraid of rejection, so now women must bear the brunt. Men SHOULD put more effort in to pursue a woman, because the …

The first guy I was with wasn’t even nice to me ☹️ I asked if we could light a candle for my first time and he replied “Wow, you really want to go all out?” He also texted me a picture of a stain on his bedsheet after I had left, with the caption “marked my sheets :/“ yeah he was the fucking worst. Same with Ross and Rachel. How many times did Ross say he had a a ‘huge crush on her’ in high school, but she never saw him in that way and only viewed him as ‘Monica’s dorky older brother’. It was only several years later, when he had a phD, became a professor with a good salary, that she really even considered dating him. Even then Ross was a beta blue pilled cuck who pined after Rachel even when she rode the cc in high school, college and beyond and didn't give a fuck about him for years. The…
