Yea, I want the kind of men who want sex late at night.

The first paragraph says she wants to "make a family". Does that not imply having kids to you?

The current cultural obsession with corporatism and work defining your self value is so fucked up. Not just for women, even for men. The greatest calling, and the greatest fulfillment, doesn't come from climbing to the top of the corporate ladder. It comes from raising a loving, happy family. It's not wrong to feel what you're feeling, it's only natural. It's what we've always wanted, and you can try to rationalize what's the "smart decision", but you will never be able to push down and suppress…

From a man's perspective, it's actually rare to find a woman who wants to be a traditional homemaker these days. So, there will definitely be a lot of men who would be very happy to play to role of a sole provider, and know that their kids are being raised lovingly and caringly by their mom instead of some stranger who's doing it for pay.

Besides just disagreeing on such a fundamental thing as the basic dynamic of the relationship, he just seems narrow-minded and controlling. Even if you did want to work full time, I don't think he's a good guy to be with. Any major disagreement you have in the future is going to be the same "my way or the highway" approach. There are a lot of big decisions you have to make in the coming decades. Choices about your kids, your parents, etc. If he doesn't care what you think, you will be miserable …

He told me that even if I left him, I'd struggle to find a man willing to support that lifestyle without it turning controlling or abusive. That's at best narrow-minded, and at worst coercive. We're in a "traditional" relationship, as are many of our friends. You can never truly know what's going on behind closed doors, but everyone I know are very loving and happy.

Yes? But I didn’t say any of the things you quoted, so I don’t know why you’re replying to me. Maybe you should reply to the comments in the thread that you’re actually rebutting. Did you just pick a random comment to reply to or what?

It happens. I know this guy who orbited this girl since college. She completely blew off his advances and dated around. In his mid 20s, he finally gave up and they stopped talking for a while. A few years later, after she’d reached her late 20s a good 30 lb. heavier, she decided she missed his friendship and went to visit him for a weekend, then during that weekend, she “suddenly realized” he was the guy she wanted all along. They’re married now. She definitely calls the shots in the relationshi…

Truly egalitarian marriages are really rare. It’s just rare in any social interaction that both people will be equally agreeable to perfect compromise every time. One person is almost always calling more shots than the other. In marriages that are really concerned with being labeled egalitarian, they’re usually driven by a desire to subvert stereotypes, so they usually tilt more toward the women having more power.

Men haven’t put themselves first until very recently. Before, basically the biggest source of shame for a man was if he couldn’t adequately provide for and take care of his family,

Proof, evidence, an example, a sign Proof != proof of concept. It’s not a proof of concept because 1. there’s no concept he’s trying to test the feasibility of, and 2. prostitution wasn’t created in order to test or demonstrate anything.

How.. how is that misattributed? Oscar Wilde did say that. Nope, he definitely did not. There's no record of him ever saying it. And, in fact, it wouldn't really make sense, since "sex" didn't take on the meaning of "having sexual intercourse" until the late 1920s source (which obviously is a good 20 years or so after Wilde died). Not to mention, the general concept of the quote is very modern and almost certainly created in a post-Freudian context (and probably post second-wave feminism). Quote…

This was so self-indulgently edgy, it was borderline unreadable. Oscar Wilde said “Everything in the world is about sex, except sex. Sex is about power.” Throwing in random, misattributed quotes doesn't make you sound any more knowledgeable or authoritative. Love and war are both just stupid games that adult humans play with each other. Most of the time neither player knows the rules that well and they have no real idea why they do anything. This is just down right cringey.

If he already dropped out of college once, I have strong doubts he'd be able to complete a bachelor in physics (which is obviously not an easy major), let alone a masters. On top of that, I can't imagine a BA (not even BS) in physics being very useful. If he's going to go the academic route, he'd need to go all the way to Ph.D., otherwise, he'd be much better off getting a degree in something with more practical applications (like engineering). Student loans are unfortunately pretty common, but …

If you have slept with only one other person your chances of divorce are 22%, but two people before marriage is only 12%. You're reading the chart wrong. That's the percentage belonging to each group. 22% of women had exactly 1 partner before marriage, and 12% had 2. The divorce rates for those two groups are about 20% (for 1 partner) vs. 30% (for 2). It might actually be a good idea to have a short-term relationship to increase your n1 to n2 and then hold out after doing so until marriage. This…

I know I’m not alone in my poor experience with virgins, because I’ve heard of similar experience from friends. I believe that women who make it to their mid (and some cases late) 20s and are still virgins make it a part of their identity. They put their own pussy on a pedestal and think they are more virtuous than other women. No amount of alpha can unfuck a woman who thinks blow jobs, anal, and (in one case) anything but missionary, under the covers, with the lights off is dirty and shameful. …

All fat girls say they’re “just a few pounds extra”. I’m willing to bet OP is squarely in the overweight range, maybe even tipping toward obese. Any time a girl makes a statement about her weight on the internet, you can add about 15 pounds. Girls who say they’re slim are actually average. Girls who say they’re average are chubby. Girls who say they’re chubby are fat.

BMI basically exists as a simple way to estimate body composition. Asians tend to have higher body fat percentage at a given BMI than caucasians, which is why their BMI scale is different. It’s very likely that, even if she’s not overweight by the Caucasian BMI scale, her body fat is high enough for her to be overfat. Honestly, women who are fat always try to downplay the fact that they are fat having an impact on their ability to attract men. This sub is about being honest, and the honest truth…

But you're comparing their income to your income. Again, your post says: I would wager to say that I may be considered "higher" than them (if in terms of salary) So you're saying you're aiming for men who are below you because you make more than they do. But their salary is a big factor in their SMV, whereas your salary is a very minor factor in yours. So in actuality, although you may make more money than they do, they may still be significantly above you in SMV.

I would wager to say that I may be considered "higher" than them (if in terms of salary). This is the issue. You think men are judging you based on your salary. They're not.

I don't understand how me viewing myself as more self-actualized than my peers is different from a male that considers himself having a higher SMV than his peers. Everyone makes comparisons in their head, its what sexual strategy is all about. Its what hypergamy is all about: "how can I be a better catch so that I can get the best catch". Am I wrong? That's a good question. I think there are a couple of differences: SMV is more objective. Sure, there's individual variance due to personal prefere…

Okay, it's a bit of a hyperbole. There are definitely people wallowing in their own self-pity. However, most people try to do something productive, and better themselves in some way. They just might be focused on things that you (or I) think are silly and frivolous. So, TRP doesn't exist to tell people to do something. It exists to define a specific set of traits that one should focus on developing, and specifically for the goal of attracting the opposite sex. A guy might be spending his time pi…

I'm sorry if terms like "self-truth" make you flinch, so perhaps it would be better if I reformulated that sentence into "..since it just feels like I'm faking that particular dynamic". Better? Plain English. Using language in a way that conveys meaning more clearly is generally better, yes. But, it's still the same question: why do you think you need to fake that dynamic? Do you think you're inherently too smart/perfect/radiant to be led by a man now? Is there no man that you think you can look…

isn't new-speak technically a new-speak term? ;) Yep, I was being facetious. Happy you caught it. 😋 Out of curiosity, do you associate RP discussions on increasing one's SMV a form of narcissism? Trying to better yourself is never a bad thing, and is something everyone should strive for. The thing is, the captain-first mate paradigm that was characteristic of this relationship, provided such a potent sexual kick that I find hard to get back, since it just doesn't align with self-truth anymore. So to the self-actualized feminine women out there: what did you do to level yourself out? It's hard to be attracted to a man if you can't respect and look up to him. And it's hard to respect and look up to a man if your attitude is that you're so much better than all men that you can be i…

I find that, although both subs believe the same fundamental truths about biological imperatives between the genders, they have different goals for what to do with that knowledge. Red pill theory says that men have a drive to mate with as many young, beautiful girls as possible, while women want to secure commitment from the single highest value man they can. As far as relationship dynamics, this means that men naturally want to be players, and women naturally want to branch swing, neither behav…

"Mental load" is absolutely real work and very taxing, but it's disingenuous to say that men don't share in it, because the daily household chores are not the only thing that contributes to this mental load. Do you think men have no mental load from their responsibilities? Let's imagine a traditional division of labor. The wife is a stay at home mom, the husband works. The wife has the mental load of dealing with the children and household chores, but the husband has the mental load of managing …

Looks tend to have less weight for women for sexual attraction. Whereas looks are basically the only determining factor for men, women also tend to also consider personality, status, etc. Also, I think women have more social pressure to say they like non-conventionally attractive men than men do for women, even if it's not true. A lot of women have convinced themselves they're totally hot for Peter Dinklage or Steve Buscemi, but if they weren't famous, very few of those women would give them the…

That is not the same thing. You didn't invest anything emotionally, financially, or your time into his other family. It's an entirely difference scenario when the child you've lovingly raised turns out not to be your own.

I think shorter women are much less inclined to date someone shorter than them. Taller one's might go one or two inches shorter. This has been my experience as well. Short women are often very hung up on finding a really tall guy. Taller women care a lot less about height.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/17 12:03 AM

I mean, it clearly depends on the woman. There are women for whom anything below 5'10" or whatever is an absolute no. There are women for whom shortness puts you at a disadvantage, but they'll still give you a shot if you make up for it elsewhere. And there are some women who pretty much don't give a shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/17 11:59 PM

The traditional model is that men approach women. Therefore, the amount of men that a given woman has available to her to choose from is the amount of men she is able to attract enough to approach her. As the approachers, men don't have this barrier, they can choose to approach whoever they want.

That simply doesn't make sense, lol. It's like saying you respect someone with an artificial leg for finishing a marathon, but you actively disrespect the person with two legs for finishing the marathon. If anything you should just be apathetic towards that person with two legs. No, you missed the crux of the issue here, which is that sex feels good. The OP is saying that if women have no obligation or responsibility to provide sex, men should have no obligation or responsibility to provide emotional support. You have to actively continue to reaffirm consent even after you've finished hooking up? So if a guy and a girl consensually hook up, and then he doesn't text her the day after and she feels neglected, she can retroactively withdraw consent and now that hook up becomes rape? Sometimes I feel like the world's gone mad... I'm so glad I'm already with a wonderful woman and don't need to worry about this shit anymore.

To the extent that women's expectations increase the risk of protests and/or demographic problems, does this become a political problem and what can governments do? Start more wars. The issue is that men are intrinsically disposable. The birth rate slightly favor males for a reason. The fact is we've lost most of the natural mechanisms hay have existed for thousands of years to filter out the excess men. The current ratio of men to women is just unnatural.

Maybe a virgin girl would be more eager to please, or could forge a more intimate bond resulting in more satisfying sex, or some other reason. This has been my experience. I really doubt the number of rape cases has changed. What's changed is our criteria for what constitutes rape. We've basically redefined rape around what goes down at frat parties, so of course parties are going to have a high incidence of "rape".

It does feel like that, but who came up with this? Biology. 1 man can impregnate 100 women, but 1 woman can't be impregnated by 100 men. The upshot of this is that women are inherently valuable, because a society can't survive if it loses the majority of its women, but it does fine if it loses the majority of its men.

Did you read the article before commenting? In the study, responsiveness is defined as a characteristic “that may signal to potential partners that one understands, values and supports important aspects of their self-concept and is willing to invest resources in the relationship.” A limitation of this definition, the authors state, is that the concept of “responsiveness” is ultimately elusive—it can mean different things to different people. I think everyone likes to think of themselves as special and superior. When anyone gets to attached to one thing/group to define their identity (be it their gender, their hobby, their religion, etc.), that desire naturally extends to thinking that that group of people are inherently superior. It's not unique to women, and it's not unique to gender identity.

That women are inferior is one of the core tenets of TRP. From my understanding, that's not true. They just see men and women as having different reproductive strategies as a result of different biological factors and different evolutionary pressures. Actually, for university admissions, Asians are penalized significantly more for their race than whites.

I don't think you actually understand what a falsifiable hypothesis is.

There are countless fields where it's not possible or not ethical to run controlled experiments. That doesn't mean they're not science. Very few scientific fields are actually testable in a lab.

Normal, well-rounded men subconsciously alter their target age range as they get older. For relationships, definitely. But as far as raw sexual attractiveness, I'm pretty sure women peak at around 20-22 for all men.

I mean, they are pushing to fix what they see as inequality. It's just that they only see/care about issues where women supposedly have the short end of the stick, not issues primarily affecting men. And even then, a lot of those issues aren't ones where women are objectively in a worse position than men, a lot of them are just cases where men and women have different strengths and abilities and therefore different expectations put upon them.

I think you're fundamentally misunderstanding TRP. They don't claim to be a technique for seducing women. They claim it's a framework for understanding male-female interaction as a whole. How you apply that framework is up to you. You can agree or disagree with the validity of the concept, but it makes no sense to say that TRP doesn't work on some women, just like it makes no sense to say evolution doesn't work on some turtles. It's a description of how things are, not a thing you do to someone.

I disagree that healthy thin is considered an unattractive body type for guys. Most of the Kpop stars that women love are considered healthy thin. This is a great example of just how distorted male beauty standards have become. Those Kpop stars are all for the most part quite muscular, and spend a lot of time at the gym to achieve those bodies. The fact that anything short of Hugh Jackman or Tom Hardy or whatever isn't considered muscular any more shows just how out of touch most people (especia…

When everyone you know is married with children and no one has time to hang out with their old friend from college who's perpetually single.

At least 70% of the girls I've known have said they'd never have children. Now we're all in our late 20s and most of them have kids or are recently married and trying.

You can see obese couples that love each other and even get married Yes, obviously if you're willing to settle for someone unattractive, you also have more leeway to be unattractive. However, most people (especially those looking for dating advice on youtube) are obviously not satisfied with the people they can currently attract, and want to broaden their dating pool. They would like to be able to date more attractive people of the opposite gender. Therefore, it's completely appropriate advice t…

Well it's impossible for anyone to respond without a more detailed description of the situation you're envisioning. How was this decision reached? What's at stake? Why did it not work out as he expected? What situation are they in now? And also, how would you react? If it's a dealbreaker for you, it would probably be a dealbreaker for RPW as well. Again, the question of "do you even want to be in this relationship?" is largely the same for RPW as BPW; C/FM is just a way to divide responsibilitie…

RPW aren't slaves. The C/FM dynamic is only a way of dividing up responsibilities within the relationship, but RPW still decide if they want to be in that relationship in the first place (and also if/when they want to leave). So, if the captain makes some major fuck up for some reason, which causes his gf/wife questions his judgement, then she can very well decide she no longer wants to be a part of this relationship. But also, you seem to think that captains just randomly make huge, life alteri…

Except for the last three girls, these are all just pictures of very average people with other very average people. The couple are all almost exactly equally attractive (except couple 2, where the girls is a maybe slightly better looking).
