No clue on that.

Yeah. I've considered a post nup but, at the same time, I feel like it may be time to call it quits. If she has so little faith... I'm 36 and feel like I'm young enough to find my forever person. Another 5-10 years and that's it.

I make decent money... Until I lost my job... Because I lost motivation to do anything... Because I'm getting divorced... Ugh... I guess what I mean is, I don't think there will be a major discrepancy to be awarded a huge amount of alimony.

Fuck, I wish it was. If only I had so little of a life.

I get primary custody and one house. That's her offer.

Well said man. That's honestly why I made this post.

Oh, I know she is. I'm letting her to a degree. Just having a hard time letting go.

I do. It just doesn't make the situation any easier or less stressful. Frankly, neither does Reddit, LoL.

Oh, she's said as much.

This is my ultimate fear. Talking with friends that have been through it, all of them have said I'll regret not getting my fair share. The hardest part is our kids. I want to move home with them but, I also don't want to take them from their mother. Ugh ... I hate this.

Christ, it's overwhelming. She doesn't even seem sure she is committed to our end...

Woof! This has been becoming a recurring thought. I don't want to stay here but could never be away from my kids...

Already got a VAR for that. Just in case...

I get that. My problem is I really don't care about all the shit that could be gained. It seems like a fucking trophy for losing. Therefore, I'm having a difficult as fuck time telling my attorney just what it is that I want. I only really care about my family... That's dissolving... And will never be the same again... And sadly, my wife...

This is the experience I was curious of. The 30% I am promised is a house. However, we have three. We relocated 3 years ago as a save the marriage move. Now I feel stuck in this fucking state, want to go home but can't bring myself to go scorched earth to try to take the kids home. Super worried that as soon as it's finalized I'm out of here.

I've got an attorney. Couldn't say if he's good... He's an attorney... but, he's been decent so far. That last sentence hits. It's honestly a great description of how I feel and my anxiety.

That sounds familiar. I've got to get a draft settlement written up and I hate it. I don't want to ruin what's left of us but don't want to leave a shit ton on the table either. Especially when she's actually ready to reveal her hand.

Yeah, that's my fear as well. Honestly, I think she's got some motive that she's hiding. I'm pretty sure he has a name. Not trying to be the bigger man, just trying to figure out moving on.

Appreciate that buddy. I quit drinking and started keto. Between the two, I had the weight to lose. Went from 275 to 230, so 45 lbs over all. I'm 6'3. Also, been working out more as the spring approaches.

I'm fucking trying. Hopefully this lottery ticket comes in and we can check that off the box. I refuse to give up. I got married and committed to it for life.

That's been the main goal. Self-care. I've dropped 50 lbs since the new year. Being more active and involved overall. Kinda stuck in limbo but, I know that no matter what, I'll be ok. In the meantime, marriage counseling, individual therapy, and exercise.

I'm in the same boat. Trying and trying, occasional crying. We've overcome every other hurdle. I have faith we can overcome this too.

It's more complicated than that. We haven't officially started the process yet. I brought it up. She said she wants it. I presented papers, she refused to sign them... Now we're in marriage counseling.

We started marriage counseling last week. I am hopeful it will be beneficial. So far it's just scratched the surface. Also doing individual therapy on my end

I'm seeing effort from her. There's just so much god damned resentment on both ends. I'm definitely analyzing her actions and efforts. I'm hopeful for reconciliation but, sadly aware that there may be no such thing. 13 years is hard to let go of.

Man, I'm on the front end of this. Trying to reconcile but also feel like I'm putting in all of the work. Thanks for the words, as they're weird I'm currently telling myself. At least I can say I did everything to try to make it work.

Same here. Starting marriage counseling this week but, it's a Hail Mary before we start divorce proceedings. It sucks being in limbo. It also sucks looking at rebuilding everything.

I'm in the exact same boat man. Not ready to call it dead and unsure how to move forward.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
