| 1 | NiceeeeeI'm not a lawyer, but I don't think you can win a child support case if you're not caring for the child. You just have to pay whatever the judge/laws say you have to pay. Aside from that, in a professional setting most women wouldn't want it to be publicly known that you abandoned and wont support your child. It can just be so damaging to your career. | 1 | NiceeeeeIf she's a lawyer, then she would have basic knowledge of how child support payments work and would know that $500 was a steal. She also would not want it to go to court because it's very possible that word could get back to her peers/clients about it. Abandoning a child can be a career killer for professional women due to the beliefs that women are supposed to be motherly and put their family above all else.
