Smile less, smirk more I love this counter-conventional wisdom advice(Non-genuine smiling at someone before even talking probably shows an eagerness to appease and pulls you out of frame without even talking) that comes from red-pill type thinking. While I understand the importance of teaching your son the red pill ways about women, currently I am learning the social dynamics for men that I didn't bother with when I was younger so that I can teach my son. Some things I believe: Boys benefit trem…

Chronic One-itis. You spend all your time pining after a girl instead of building your social and sexual repertoire. While women can't reduce the number of carousels that they have rode it is possible for a man to increase his experience and status. Also, like someone said above it's more about keeping your head above the water than trying to get a good initial investment. Actually, I suppose the opposite of the carousel for men could be someone who hasn't invested in himself gaining wealth, lif…

Because exercise is boring, monotonous, My theory is that the best exercise is to play like a kid. I think most kids actually do natural interval training. They have intense bursts followed by down time. I think a good game of tag with a jungle-gym nearby would be great exercise. Anyways, I'd say people aren't going to exercise if it doesn't feel worth it. There has to be either a social aspect, a fun aspect, or a greater-than-it-normally-is rewarding feeling to it in order for a person to conti…

I've struggled with keto myself, which seems stupid because I really get results when I stick with it. I made a medication change and just packed on like 20 pounds in no time and had to question whether it had just been medication side effects all along that made it seem like I was in control of my weight. Anyways, I think we are in less control of our own appetite than we are led to believe. I think we have to find the right things to eat that lead our appetite to balance. The past couple days …

Here's one from Tom Naughton's blog. I didn't expect to watch the whole thing but I just seemed to hit every nail so directly on the head that I loved it: http://www.fathead-movie.com/index.php/2013/12/17/speech-diet-health-and-the-wisdom-of-crowds/ Also, his new character vs. chemistry articles seem really interesting to me.

A keto dinner wouldn't have either beer or ice cream. It's a high-fat, very-low carbohydrate diet. To be strict people would want to stay under 20g of carbs a day while getting most of their calories from fat to fill themselves up. Most people in keto believe that this helps regulate appetite(probably working to help resolve Metabolic Syndrome if the dieter is that far along) and control their appetite so they eat a normal amount of calories. I myself am of the opinion that on the right-type of …

Oh, we are using validation differently. I don't know if there's a proper way, but I use validation as a term for :receiving a rewarding response or stimulus that feels worth the effort put in to receive it. So like a rat pulling a lever to get a crouton or a morphine hit. So I meant staying at home playing video games, watching "movies", taking naps, eating things. Also including productive things like reading, learning something, playing music, and cleaning/reorganizing as long as I'm feeling(…

I'm am/was your opposite. For the most part I don't care about what other people think or whatever; I am usually happy to be in my own little world. However, I would say that I am very sexual and had difficulty understanding and expressing that even in LTRs. One thing that is weird about me is that I realized that I wasn't interested in hanging out with other guys unless it was for playing music or the possibility of meeting women. So I feel that I've learned that I need to truly enjoy the compa…

I got so excited while reading the second page. The project this guy did simply gave him abundance theory(Although I love the initiative he took and think he probably has a possibly lucrative deal he could now work with a dating website): The rejection stung, but he was still getting 20 messages a day. Slightly off-topic, but I have this theory that trying to convince someone about something is a terrible way to change their mind. My advice is instead to talk about yourself. Use "I" statements. "I'm worried that you aren't being a leader in your own relatioship." "If there's issues I hope you know you can always come to me even though I'll give you shit for it." "I feel in a relationship a man has to set the boundaries regarding respect." Just musing here but how is this guy's relationship wit…

Mortified, I imagined his teachers' reactions when they saw it. Women worrying about what other women will think. Now I realize the concern over ridiculous zero-tolerance suspension and trouble here, but I think for her this is about what other women will think. Which is admittedly what a woman is supposed to be concerned with.

I've been letting the theory on funny run through my head. I'm not ready to write it all up yet, but here are some of the pieces. Funny comes from a place of emotional connectedness not conscious, forced intelligence. Mindfulness helps you connect with people; it may help you be funnier. Funny typically consists of factors of social hierarchy, vulnerability, and confidence/congruence. Funny is teasing a girl instead of trying to placate her. Funny is embracing the ridiculous reality of a situati…

I was saying that the parent gets custody because they are receiving support(not vice versa). Custody had never been brought to question but the man is by default sued for child support by the State's Attorney. They make sure to establish paternity and do the financial affadavit, but there is never any question or consultation about father's rights or custody arrangements. Yes, that is something a father should have to see a lawyer for, but then it's not fair for him to lose a fair chance at cus…

My state has something like that. However, the state will still sue the man for child support on behalf of the mother(Perhaps only for children that benefit from Medical assistance programs). Of course, the parent receiving child support is by default the custodial parent(it's a law on the books, not just in practice). So even though my state is supposed to be impartial, the state effectively sues the man for custody by default and unless the man consults a lawyer it's not even clear that this h…

I think you nailed it. Women demonstrating they have options and social value because that is what they desire from men. Men demonstrating they are submissive(easy to get along with) and "pure"(trying to hide their sexual side) because that's what they are desiring from women.

You 7 statements all indicate 3 things. 1) That you have plenty of social experience and 2) That you can draw from this experience to make generalizations 3) That you don't care if you are wrong; you are here to make connections and have fun. It's good to learn this dynamic. It can be helped by making sure that you do get lots of social experience. More social connections give you more to talk about(connections to make) with present and future prospects. Learning to relax and not worry about mak…

kids growing up with their biological father fare far better in life. I know it's much more a MRA than TRP things, but men can get custody sometimes. While it's not at all TRP idealogy, I think if you are already trapped in marriage having the wife contemplate that she might have to spend more on lawyers then she will receive in child-support or could possibly have to pay her ex-husband child support could affect that nothing to lose mindset. Of course I would hope that men would only do this if…

While thinking through all my own BS below, I think I came closer to the real issue. This woman was someone else's sex object and her husband now knows it. He is intuitive of the incongruence that while he is now her husband he feels like he's getting her leftovers. Why does this bother him so much? Well, I would suppose that because of what he has intuitioned(?) about hypergamy he realizes that there could soon and easily be another guy that will effortlessly take her away from him and he will …

Here's the thing, she followed his lead. He acted like it was a bad thing and then so did she. He acted like it required a public-flailing and then she gave him one. She gave him what he acted like he deserved; even in chastising him these women were following this man's lead.

She couldn't be the girl who let some beta-apologists smack her ass, she went the extra-mile to ensure that all female-retribution(which seems to be appeal to authority, which is funny because I just was saying how it's terrible thing for a guy to do) was done to show all betas that they shall not be unapologetically friendly with he…

I think a point to be made here is that protesting is an appeal to authority, a very blue-pill move. Understanding the system and using it to your advantage or vision could be the ideal. Forge your path, make some money, and then run for office. Start small: city council, county board, school board, library board, non-profit board of directors. Don't beg for change, work for change. I realize a "movement" does have work involved. Maybe an interesting mind-exercise would be examining how that is …

Besides the keto-flu, which may stem from lacking minerals like potassium, I think it would be useful for keto-ers to know about the body's energy pathways. Currently, from what I've read it's probably best to eat white rice or white potatoes if you really want to re-fuel(from a primal perspective) on a Cyclical or Targeted Ketogenic Diet. I understand where you are coming from but I think I had some realization of the nuances here. As a blue piller, most of what you do to get a woman is actually going to drive her away. So what probably ends up happening is that the blue piller adopts a "wait and see" game so that he at least doesn't end up driving away the object of his affection immediately. He has the idea that he has to "play it cool" but that's probably because he has been inundated with blue-pill ideas so pretty much any ti…

Amazing feedback I'm getting here. One of the mind-excersizes I try to use as a parent is to wonder, "Why is this ok for an adult to do, but not a kid?" It seems that adults are expected to more-fully understand their circumstance and have the responsibility and resources to withstand the consequences of their actions. The point is I was wondering why it is ok for adults to lie and if I should not be teaching my son that lying was absolutely bad. My idea and the feedback here instead gives me th…

Looks are the quickest and first factor that women can use to assign you a value. Let's say social value is a number scale 0 - 100 and that women are looking for 80+. A man with looks that start him out at 50 is much more likely to make the cut than a man whose looks start him out at 20. Also, there is an upward spiral. Since looks can infer a social value a good-looking man is more likely to have confidence because he gets more validation for doing the same things a less-good-looking man would …

I'm still working out the kinks, but as a man this is a way of building, establishing, and affirming rapport with people. However, if you do it before you are really ready(like fake it til you make it) then you will be in-congruent and it won't go well. So, don't start with your boss but you should be practicing this back and forth with other men and let your comfort grow with it. Also, redpill led me to the realization that the men that take a lot of good-natured shit (shaming and shock-value) …

While I agree with what the others are saying about the age difference, I wonder if the answer is much simpler: You aren't his top best risk vs reward prospect at the moment. I realize you cover this, but it sounds to me like a guy who is already getting what he wants(or is hoping to) somewhere else, but knows that he'll regret missing out on the "hot, young thing" once his current relationship/fwb/prospect finally starts to sour. That being said I'm now remembering a few times I "passed" on a g…

Well you are right but you can't tell people to just have fun. I bet a lot of people here think that to achieve being social-interesting, clever, and charming that they have to be "smarter" about it. I'm of the opinion now that theses come from an "emotional connectedness" that can't be forced through intellectual social ideas and theory. This comes from things like building yourself up(actually not verbally), growing your social network, connecting to people, having a purpose, and mindfulness.

Girls have their own game, man. Hair, make-up, cleavage, photogenic poses, social-proofing and whatever else. Both genders try to put their best foot forward based on what they know and what they have learned. It's just that most people do it somewhat subconsciously and now some people are trying to actively learn how to do it .

I plan on letting any women I date in the future know that should we have a child and then break-up, I plan on having custody and will very effectively fight for it. Since, that's my situation now they will have no reason to doubt me. I haven't really dated, but I'm interested in the reaction of women when faced with the prospect that an unplanned pregnancy could have them paying me child support for the next 18 years. I think that will be great filter.

It's not just women. This is how men feel out and establish social hierarchy and connections. Through shit-talking/banter. People who can make fun of each other are typically comfortable with each other. This is why Agree & Amplify is such a valuable tool. When you banter like this with a woman you are treating her like one-of-the-guys, showing her a bit of your "social repertoire" and for sure not putting her on a pedestal. In this instance I would say the "nice guy" part is a combination of "i…

It may not have hurt, but something like that is trying so hard to get into her frame right from the start I would expect it wouldn't even make sense to her at first. My counter-conventional advice is say something about yourself. Why are you going that way. Then you maybe you can be curious. "How far are you going?" "Aren't you tired?" I've been working on a whole mind shift for this to move past the beginner crutches and into the intermediate conversational realm. Instead of trying to get into a conversation with someone, you will provide them with opportunities to connect with you. You don't want to be an interviewer; you assume that people want to hear what you have to say. So how do you do this. First, stop asking questions. Asking questions keeps putting you out of your frame and into theirs. Instead you make statements o…

In my state the state's attorney will sue the father for child support, but the father can skip court if he provides income documentation and agrees to pay. Because of another law on the books the parent receiving child support is automatically assumed to be the custodial parent. So basically when the state sues the father for child support, they are also suing for custody for the mother but that isn't indicated anywhere because that's not even how it's supposed to work. But the father, knowing …

You know what's really ironic from this. That a woman getting married early(to an older man) and staying in that marriage is really the economic way for her to buy-in with her highest SMV and maximize her potential return. That kind of sounds like the pre-sexual-revolution marriage ideal doesn't it?

My ex was super dominant in the relationship, as well as at work where she held a high position, and was in line to becoming an executive ... I realized that in reality, she wanted everything outside of her work-life to be taken care of. She sounds like an alpha male that needs a good stay-at-home/socialite partner. Unfortunately for these women, I believe they still crave an even more alpha partner, but since they are already filling that role it doesn't work out for them.

I can relate with you a lot. I have a tool that I recently used to break the "sex" ice recently. The tool is to get people talking about Wants, Passions, Hopes, Dreams, and/or Experiences instead of interviewing people. You want to get them to talk about fun things. I was playing a question game(over text) thinking "how do I make this sexual." Great post. I love it when people describe the theory, give examples, and then tell some results. There's one thing you touched on that I've been thinking about, and I think I disagree with what you said: This sounds so simple that it can't possibly be true, but it is! All I do is ask questions. I'm incredibly interested in this; I didn't realize you had this persective. Even though I've broken the situation down into my understanding I still hadn't realized there was a way to be above the shit-talking, which I believe was kind of natural to me when I was younger. Your friend has an unshakeable frame and a crap-ton of social capital in the form of excitement of the new, and social excitement. I have this tendency to look at a situation and wonder how a person could fix it. I realize she's of no consequence to the people here, but she's a person and there should be something she could try to improve her life. Surprised this idea still seems to be so rare here. I like to make the CEO at his own company analogy. The CEO isn't afraid what people think, isn't to make decisions, to tell people what they should be doing, cuss, to have a flask of whiskey or enforce the no-drinking policy, to do what he is meant to do. This is tied in with being in-state. Being at that level where you feel in comfort and control. This is why you are fun with your friends but quiet with strangers. This is why you feel comfort…

As I was thinking of this another redditor stated that since he stopped trying to be good at sex it seemed the women were more interested in him in a way. Well, it could be that taking an action despite your flaws is confidence. Having the confidence to announce your nervousness is kind of weird. It comes down to vulnerability. Vulnerability leads to connectedness and being interesting. People with high confidence can be vulnerable all the time but don't usually have to worry about it. They state their views and opinions. They initiate flirting and kino. The thing is they are not worrying(or cow-towing to) the possible social repercussions for the…

Is she having an issue finding women that are in a position to mentor her? The numbers aren't there for one-to-one mentorship when there is already a majority?

I might mangle this, but Owen says that while men typically like to stay at an emotional state of contentment, women actually enjoy feeling everything along the emotional range. However, now that I'm typing this out I'm not sure it's totally true. Men typically love to have a challenge. People pay to be challenged in gyms, rock climbing, education, puzzle books. What am I saying? Your most valuable currency is excitement. Not always roller coaster excitement. Things like interesting social situa…

As a single-dad approaching mid-life I can think of 4 general areas where a relationship enhances a man's life. You are right, right now they aren't applicable to you, but I'm going to explain them as best I can. Someone you look forward to spending time with. Someone who continues to excite you, share your values, and doesn't bring stress due to in-congruence with your own reactions and values with life. Perhaps someone that allows you to get the right mix of external validations, but still man…

Reading this thread, I was thinking about how our culture has framed children as some sort of "penalty" that men have to deal with. That coupled with the war on drugs, discriminatory sentencing, and glorification of single mothers with nearly no accountability and I just can't imagine what could be done. Change biases in the legal system and social norms in poor areas?

This really got my attention: Wade was awarded sole custody of their kids actually...now that I've gone back to read it, it is not explicitly said that he is ordered to pay her any money at all her claim that Wade had not been paying his $25,000 a month in spousal support, which his attorney denied in a statement. That denial could mean that he is paying it, or it could deny that there is any spousal support at all. Shouldn't she be paying child support ?

I see so many couples that started out great fizzling at this moment. I've been trying to put my finger on what causes it and if there is a way to prevent it. I suppose that a lot of it comes from the lack of motivation then leading to a lack of validation. Then the relationship gets stuck because in order for the guy to seek external validation he will have to give-up(or cheat) the main source of validation he already has. I relate this to the metaphor of climbing down a mountain to climb the n…

I've been on both sides. Unfortunately, I have other issues(my last gf thinks Asperger's, but could be social anxiety or something) that keep me from having typical people experiences on both sides. As a guy, I know that when I'm in better shape that people will be much more eager to be around me. This made ice-breaking, social-proof, and event finding so much easier. Once I put on a certain amount of weight I just felt invisible. Being social wasn't an impossibility but it was all up to me; I w…

There is something hard to do here. You should separate the things you want to be from the things you think other people want you to be. If you're not happy with your fitness then work on getting in better shape for yourself. If you are happy with it then don't keep getting down on yourself because you think other people might not like it. You want to be proud of yourself. I think that if women have a bad impression of the seduction community it's probably because of those terrible articles written for women that are like 'sleazy guys make pick up a science! Even this point could use some clarification. How do you end up with a single parent? What about parents that remarry and step-parents? In a society of typical serial monogamy what constitutes a single-parent? Someone who isn't married but has a boyfriend/girlfriend ? What about unmarried partners living together raising kids? I guess my point is that with divorce, new relationships, and re-marriage there is actually a spectrum along the lines of single-parent to married parenting and step-paren…

I think the inner game stuff definitely applies and I suppose if you master that then you shouldn't need anything else. However, there are some societal norm differences that might apply. We see examples of this in society where women negotiating for a raise are seen differently than men. I worry about some of the advice here sounding good, but not bei…

I think the besides venting and warning, the relevancy this has here is that she was able to use the legal system as a weapon against him. He's not arguing that she did these things because she is a woman. However, the restraining order and subsequent arrests were probably affected by gender bias. I agree with you and I'm trying to be objective here. I don't like abortion and you have a good point. I always figured that those concessions in the case of making abortion illegal or otherwise putting restrictions on it were just a given. There are many societal differences and as I said even attraction differences that may lead man and women to have sexual desires that seem different. However with that many variables layered on top I have no reason to assume that the underlying biologically-given sexual drive is different. We live in a culture where today the natural male sex drive is demonized and the natural female sex drive is glorified Now, is this the case. I know that attraction can have somewhat different parameters based on gender but is the female sex drive scientifically different from males? I don't think that this is the issue here; I would suppose it has more to do with norms and biases. Both genders cheat, both genders have sex drives. I don't know anything but I think this is fun to speculate. Women almost unanimously like taller men, but men are more varied on this. Especially since there are not any black males, poor males, immigrant males, or males that face injustice. The nice part about being male is that it also makes you middle class and white.

When we talk about a woman's reproductive rights it's supposed to be based on her rights to her body. When we talk about a man's reproductive rights it's supposed to be about the welfare of the child. If the woman had the choice to abort the baby, give the baby up for adoption, or support the child without the financial obligation of another person what would her choice be. Would the decision still be based on "my body, my choice." Or do you think we would see more decisions based on "my future …

I was wondering when someone would actually do this. Any man that can be sued for support should be able to sue for custody. Of course, this doesn't mean that he will win custody. I myself would likely never donate sperm because there does not seem to be any legal protection for the man, even regardless of any agreement or even state law. From my meager perspective it seems that any sperm donor can be compelled to pay support at the whims of an unfair judge regardless of the state. Furthermore, …

The points brought up are interesting and if this is the case with Maine law than I would wary of living there. However, the tone of the article makes it hard to make seriously. Although it was short and not too dry so I did make it through the whole thing. One study by Centers for Disease Control researcher Daniel Whitaker reported fully half of all incidents of partner aggression are mutual. More often than not, it's the woman who instigated the incident. I thought this was very interesting an…

Around here it's assumed that there just won't be any penalty for a woman not paying support. I have a friend that is a rare dad with custody and when he went back to court because the mom wanted custody, he was told that to bring up the issue that she was very, very behind on paying child support would only make him look like a jerk. My child's mom doesn't have to pay child support because she doesn't work/ have any income. In the court document it's said that "support is reserved" which I thin…

In my state we have a website for that shows pictures of parents that are too far behind on child support. Also, they can have their license revoked and I assume that they are likely in contempt of court. A. Why are there no known penalties for parents that violate the visitation part of a custody agreement. Because these are usually women ? Because perhaps there are factors that go beyond what the court has ordered ? I think this could be true of a person ordered to pay child support. B. Why is…

If I could just go to the grocery store and make conversation with an acceptably attractive woman to get a potential date then I wouldn't be reading seddit. I am nice guy type A but I'm painfully passive and indecisive. Since I was pretty good looking in my younger years this was not as big of a problem as it could have been. Now as an adult I want to better understand how these things work and how I can use them for myself. Even though I'm not actively looking for dates, I still seem a little s…

As guys we expect ourselves to just love sex almost any way that we can get it. Sometimes we feel like we are ready to go out and get it on with anything that will let us. I think we've all been hit on by someone we didn't want to hook-up up with. Sometimes it's cool and sometimes it can be annoying. How about a cool friend that's a girl that you're just not attracted to. She's fun as hell, but for whatever reason she's not someone you think you would sleep with. Have you friend zoned her? I thi…

I think that I recall lack of men elementary school teachers actually being a voiced concern by some educators. When you have kids without fathers and all female teachers there could be a lack of male role models at early ages. I don't remember where that came from, but someone has taken notice.

I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that I was paying child support and the only working parent and it was the other, non-working parent's right to claim my child as a dependent on her (or her husband's taxes). Even if they had only been married one day of the tax year. If I provide 50+% of the child's financial support, shouldn't I get the tax credit ? Having a dependent makes a huge difference on the % of my income that I get to keep or pay.

I think you're arguments are written well, but I don't think I agree with you. The industry would have to be regulated by taxes that were collected from it. I think this would help to decrease trafficking and pimping. From your argument, I gather that this would only increase the legitimacy of groups that do these things and make it even more difficult to crack down on them. A worthwhile concern. I honestly don't have anything to cite support my belief that legalization would help the situation.…
