You should be discriminatory when it comes to dating for heaven's sake. You have every right to date who you feel comfortable with; not based on political correctness.

There has always been a need for education in the arts of being feminine as well as masculine. It used to be taught by parents but isn't as much anymore because of the feminist movement--for one. When so much false information is broadcast all over the place about what it means to be a man and a woman, it's even more necessary today than ever. When was the last time we saw a charm school in this country? Maybe it's time to bring one back?

I totally agree. If they really want women to have more freedom, what's wrong with being a feminine woman? Most of us LIKE feeling pretty and wearing makeup. Please.

Hillary Clinton is SO unfeminine, it's embarrassing that she is counted as a woman. She is a self-serving, egotistical criminal. I don't thing she is sympathetic to us, let alone men. It's all for money and power.

And people should look at statistics. Just based on that alone, people who marry have a significant chance of staying together compared to those who only cohabit. It's just a landslide difference. Don't most people who get together hope it will last? I sure do. It's not just a piece of paper either. It's a legal commitment people make in front of others. It introduces them to all the other people in your life; friends and especially family. It says the person you have chosen is family now; not j…

I have never met a man like that. Zero. They can't be that common. I am guessing you didn't know this about him before?

It's time to vote for the one whose platform is the most like our own; one who can actually win. I wish this could be about morals but it can't. Hillary is just SO BAD I must vote for Trump. The supreme court alone is worth it not to mention building up our military and protecting our borders.

The simple answer is always accentuate the differences between you and men in what you wear and how you look. Your makeup and hair add to that too:) I lived in Canada for 5 years. It's not really that hard.

Living together before you are married is high risk behavior. Have you ever looked at the statistics on couples that stay together outside of marriage? It's astronomically bad. Some couples defy the odds but is it worth the risk? You are doing the right thing!

Thanks for posting that. I loved the last paragraph especially. Being a good woman is so important!

Statistics show that people who do not marry but just live together have an astronomically high chance of the relationship not lasting. Successful monogamy depends on marriage. That doesn't mean success is guaranteed if you are married. I wish. But if you decide to just live together, it's not good. You say marriage gives women "extreme power". In my experience, I'm not sure most women feel extreme power when it comes to divorce. Many I know somehow end up with nothing plus almost no child suppo…

Thanks for sharing this. Sounds really interesting. I get tired of the art of homemaking being portrayed as something boring and for those with no intelligence. :)

I think the reason feminists bully and put down traditional feminine women is because they actually believe, deep down, that it's preferable and maybe even superior to be male. Think about it. They criticize women who actually like being female and they imitate traditional masculine looks, roles and aggressive behaviors. I wouldn't think this if they supported the rest of us in our choices of being who we want to be. But they don't. This isn't totally about equal rights. I am not sure when it ch…

One of my favorite dates was when our kids were little and sometimes we couldn't get a sitter so we could go out. I put the kids in bed and then planned a really nice picnic to have in our room. I decorated a basket, made a cute table cloth and then had special foods that I'd worked on earlier. I planned a movie too; we watched that lounging on our bed. I didn't know that would be one of my favorite dating memories. Very romantic (and cheap):)

Some women seem to be able to "have it all" for awhile. The trouble is, you won't always be young. Doing what it takes to do all that takes a toll long term. Today, women have more heart attacks and nervous breakdowns than in the past. What's most important? Maybe start with that. Sometimes I think the women's movement has put more pressure on us than ever before. Why must we do it all?

I sympathize with you on this one. There are a lot of problems here. For one; even if your husband were to do half the housework, what if his standards on clean are different than yours? That crops up all the time. They are you the one who must correct him? That doesn't work very well in relationships. Is your marriage worth that kind of conflict? When women have demanding careers outside the home, it's complicated. I was also going to suggest some cleaning help once every two weeks or so. After…

Yes..men like being chivalrous. It makes them feel good. It doesn't obligate you. The whole "strong independent woman" thing is from women, not men anyway. You sure don't need to feel any guilt when a man does anything helpful or kind for you. As for your other comment..you don't sound overweight at all to me. Whether a man can pick you up physically or not, doesn't that depend on the strength of that particular man? They are not all alike. How often do men go around picking up women anyway? You…

I think you are too hard on yourself. I am a perfectionist too. I don't know about you but I have found I'm almost always much harder on myself than my husband is. Some of what I perceive in him is actually me. I raised 7 children so I totally know where you're coming from. I still love my home to be tidy but now I have grandchildren; way more of them than my children. I think it sounds like you're doing a great job. Hang in there!

I think we paint our nails because it's pretty. We feel more attractive and we don't have to look in a mirror to see it. Even when we are a little overweight we still feel like we look good. I don't know about people in other cultures and in other periods of time but I sure love it when my nails are manicured and look great.

Good blog! My mother used to write our instructions on how to clean each room on cards. We had to check off each item as we did it. Then Mom would inspect our cleaning to see if we'd done everything on the list. That was Saturday morning for me and my siblings. The great memories!

I find that looking definitely female is a great idea. I think the "uniform" so many women wear today (athletic clothes; jeans/t-shirt)is so much like a man's only smaller. You'll get noticed more if you have a different look.

I love dresses and skirts. They make me feel more feminine. I also collect really womanly tops and pants; the kind men wouldn't be caught dead in. Those also work. My husband loves that I contrast the differences between me and him.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
