1	It's shit like this... I have no legal qualifications whatsoever, but I believe a civil suit is a possibility; it just would be strictly monetary with no possibility of jail. So the father could try to get a portion of his legal fees recovered, but that's probably it. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong on this point, though.	/r/MensRights	23/11/12 11:47 PM
2	It's shit like this... While I agree with you, cases like this are circumstantial, and the person who admits to making false claims may not always get off the hook in the end. I'm willing to bet that if a few factors of this case were different, like if the girl was five years older, and the man she accused of raping her wasn't related to her, there would be far more preasure on the DA to prosecute her. 52	It's shit like this... I'm sure no one here disagrees that she should be in jail, but csgardner was pointing out that if this lady knew that the repercussions of coming clean would include a hefty jail sentence, she almost certainly wouldn't have cleared her father's name. Then he would still be in jail, and no one would know that he was innocent. Is it unjust that she gets away with this? Fuck yes it is.
