Text her mainly to make plans to go out and don't text her everyday. Boyfriend/girlfriends usually text every day and this is probably making her feel as things are moving too fast. You don't want to smother her but more importantly you want to give her a chance to miss you. Keep having fun and going out on dates. Give it some time for the relationship to develop and don't force it. And don't forget to keep working on yourself. Hit the gym, read/study, do hobbies, stay interesting.

This is extremely true. It usually will shut them down. After a couple times they'll stop.

I thought you were talking about weightlifting shoes. They make a huge different when doing squats, snatches, and cleans.

I can confirm that a dog is very helpful to avoid feeling lonely but make sure to also have an ever expanding social circle.

And see other women and don't be afraid to let her know about them if she asks what your plans are. Simple say you have a date with this chick you just met. By having other women being afraid to walk away is a LOT easier.

I totally agree with you on not going to counselors for dating advice. I went to see him for a specific problem and over a couple sessions he gave me the tools I needed to fix the problem. In the end I got my moneys worth.

I talked to a counselor about this very issue. Here's a short breakdown of what he taught me. Every time you catch yourself wondering if you can trust your girlfriend, stop and ask yourself this question "Have I done everything possible to make her happy and want to be with me?" If the answer to that question is yes then simply reminder yourself that you've done everything you possibly can and that it is her choice to cheat on you which you have no control over. If the answer to the question is …

Someone has to be the leader in your life. It should be you! Live by these words and other will follow. Something I found is that when people flake on you be sure to tell them how awesome of a time you had and that you're sorry that they missed out but you'll be sure to invite them next time. And when people do show up be sure to make it an awesome time. It's your event. You're leading the party. It's your responsibility to be happy, have fun, and make whatever it is you planned amazing.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
