Ok a similar thing happened to me. During Covid My now ex wife started playing Final Fantasy or something and ended up telling this guy too much stuff. Like where I worked. The cars I have. How much money we made. The whole thing. I questioned her about it several times. Long story short she ended up wanting to separate and ultimately divorce so I took the initiative and just had it drafted up for her to sign. She moved across country to live with him and his mom. My income increased dramaticall…

I guess I kind of lucked out. Here in California. My ex has fallen for some guy she met on a video game without a job and no education. We had 2 homes. A friend had recommended a paralegal who helps draft up marriage settlement agreement. I ended up giving her an Audi SQ5 and about $100k in cash. After all was said and done we briefly attempted to reconcile but it didn’t work at all. I still own 2 homes worth over $1M each with about $700k loans combined and got a new job with about a quarter in…

that's a tough one. I mean don't worry so much about her but talk to your friends and family for YOUR support system.

For me (M) it was opposite. My wife didn’t talk or consult with really anyone. She should have.

You can probably look it up if you know the county she filed. You def should have been served by now though. There is a discovery disclosure you both have to fill out. You can always file as well. That will kind of identify a date as a line in the sand for you and then you can do the assets part later. In CA is takes about 6 months from filiing so you have time to get your ducks in a row and file those with the court.

What are the things that can reduce or eliminate alimony? yes, it's part of the "discovery" which happens to be the most expensive part. My wife and I were pretty upfront about everything.

do you still share real-time location with her (if you ever did). Or maybe she put a tracker (AirTag, Tile, etc) on your car. Which of you initiated the divo? Maybe she's trying to find the side chick (that may or may not exist)
