My ex-wife did this and for the longest time it bothered the hell out of me. We didn’t have kids and we’re only married 11 months before she wanted to separate. I’d agree with most posters here that you need to just try and forget it. Her actions are no longer a concern for you.

Never once did I say I was better, I only suggested that the amount of bitterness in this group is astounding. Like I get it we all went through different levels of shit, but in life you can’t let situations effect the person you become. Grow from your experiences, don’t let them define your future.

The amount of the therapy that still needs done by people in this group is astounding. I cringed at almost all of these posts.

I was in the exact same boat as you about a year and a half ago (29M). I moved across the country into a one bedroom without my ex wife or dog. The first few months were beyond weird and unsettling. But I started discovering things that made me happy again. I started listening to podcasts, Audiobooks, and new music again. I recommend turning on one of your favorite TV shows when you get home, The Office kept me smiling when there wasn't really a reason to. I recommend https://impacttheory.com/ t…

You don't know how important this post was for me tonight. I have a date tomorrow night with a great girl and I was worried about your same concerns. I've seen my STBX post online that she's heading on a date, that caused me to open my heart to someone else. If you're not wanted by your STBX then don't accept that role of the martyr. We can make it through this brother!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
