2	A coworker can dish it out but can't handle it in return In their mind they want others to validate the change as something positive and this is what they have always experienced, even more so if they are from younger, protected generations. Leaving them hanging is what bugs the hell out of them... This also protects you in situations at work so all they can do is complain that you noticed the change in their hair. When you notice a change just say "Oh, you changed your hair or Oh, you got your hair cut" and just leave them hanging... 6	Uncle's Wife Files A Restraining Order Out of Nowhere & Has Him Evicted From His Home I've had this exact same situation happen to me and there was another guy involved who also happened to have a pregnant wife and a third girl on the side as well (wife + my GF + another girl). Needless to say the relationship between them didn't last long, his wife miscarried and she came running back to me to pay her bills when she found out he had a wife and another girl. The point is he should not have had to use any force at all, the person who attacked him only did so because they knew they could get away with it because of their gender which she pretty much did. When someone is physically attacking you how do you know they don't have the intent or ability to do further harm to you?
