My favorite divorce song; Nine Inch Nails "Only"Hell of a year by Parker McCollum is my. So fitting. And brilliant. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/10/21 12:21 AM
Found out she bought lingerieMove on brother, it's for the best. Focus on you. You gotta find your self and what makes you happy. Trust me it gets better. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/10/21 09:18 PM
I’m a good husband, but she has unrealistically high expectations of me.You will be happier without her! If you're happier in your office even if you have to sell your house and lose some of your money imagine coming home to a nice little apartment where you can be free all the time? Do it for you man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/21 04:46 PM
Coping without knowing the full truth, needing some help badly.Went through pretty much the same thing a year ago. The confirmation of your suspicions will come, probably not in a good way. I got my confirmation 9 months after she left when she stared dating the guy I was worried about. My suggestion to you would to be stop focusing on her entirely and focus on you. Do the thing you like to do and find happiness in you. When I found out they were together all I could do was laugh. I had already been making changes in my life that made me extremely happy. | 3 | Liquidation of assets to prevent ex fromFrom what I can tell and I am not a doctor, you're spiraling. You need to seek some professional help and as hard as it is to do you should work on you first and then worry about seeing your children. As long as you know they are safe and cared for you should take some time for you. I'm not saying stop fighting but you have to pick your battles. I'd say the most import battle for you right now is your mental health. Please seek some professional help. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/21 04:44 PM
Liquidation of assets to prevent ex fromHere's my opinion. 3k a month seems fairly reasonable if you're making 150k a year. That's less that a quarter of your income to your three kids. Stop fighting it or trying to hide it as it will almost certainly end up costing you more financially and mentally. I would recommend you settle the legal battle where it stands and do what you can to get yourself into a better place mentally and emotionally. Maybe use some PTO or stress leave and work on you. I'd highly recommend seeking professional … | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/21 02:37 PM
Snooping on ex, resisting the urge?If I could tell people one single thing I learned from my separation is ALWAYS trust your gut. The way I suppressed my gut feelings before everything is something I truly regret. Hope you're doing good man 👌 | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/09/21 04:03 PM
Snooping on ex, resisting the urge? The confirmation is was what I wanted to. I didn't get it until almost a year after our separation when she stared dating the guy I was worried about for nearly 2 years. By the time I figured out I just laughed as I had made big changes in my life that made me feel good about me. Point is you need to focus on making your self happy and distancing yourself from her emotionally. She's obviously not a great person if she dropped you like that. For your sake please just do you and forget about her. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/21 02:36 PM
Going Through ItHey dude, First few months SUCK there is no doubt about it. Keep doing the things you enjoy doing, keep working on your self and eventually it'll get better. The most important thing for you to do is cut her off completely if possible. Block all her socials and her phone number. If you need to contact each other for marriage business use Email. If you're really struggling seek some professional help. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/21 12:53 AM
Question for you guys who managed to escape alimonyLikley the only way you can escape all forms of spousal support is if she signs that she doesn't want any in your separation agreement. I made around that much more that my Ex for our entire relationship. My lawyer said I got of easy because she didn't want anything. I'd seek legal assistance before giving up anything or promising anything. Hopefully she's not vindictive and it works out for you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/09/21 12:45 AM
New here. Starting divorce, need advice. The best thing for you would be to take the legal advice from your lawyer, get him/her to help you write up a separation agreement outlining what she does and doesn't want from you. Make sure it includes all assets and how you both will like them divided. Include any spousal support/child support. If you have already been talking of separation you both might as well sit down sort out exactly what you both want. You don't have to mention you've spoken with a lawyer yet but make sure you know exac… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/09/21 04:05 PM
Why get an attorney?Considering your apparent financial stability and sizable assets literally nothing bad can come from having legal advice and representation for either of you. It will protect both parties from a "he said she said" scenario. Things might be civil now but it could change in a matter of seconds if things change for one party financially. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/21 09:38 PM
Do women eventually mellow out? It'll get better. Eventually you'll both genuinely not spare eachother a second thought. If you don't have a reason to be in contact don't be. If you have kids together be the better person as often as possible. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/09/21 04:25 AM
Please help... againIt's been the most uncomfortable year of my life. But now that I'm coming out of it I'm more hopeful and optimistic then ever. You'll get there buddy! Just focus on doing you. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/21 04:49 PM
Please help... againHey man, my wife left me about 9 months ago. Same story. I wasn't part of her envisioned life anymore. She just kinda dipped. It sucked hard and I really do love her. But looking back on the relationship after spending time on myself and making my own dream future I started to realize she wasn't exactly a great partner. It took me the better part of the 9 months to feel good about life again but once I did it just happend. I feel great now. I have a plan for my future that is based around what m… | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/07/21 12:06 AM
