In the end I want to have the right to decide whether or not I take legal responsibility for my child, equal to a woman's ability to absolve themselves from the responsibilities of parenthood.

Yup yup that's it. Consent is the name of the game and we deserve it. My dick, my choice.

No the real crime is that they aren't required to ensure due process and that they're allowed to execute their own process even if their findings are in abject opposition to any police or criminal investigation

I can't tell if you're serious, but I got my ban just this morning. Feel free to check out all of my most recent comments on this sub, twox, or feminism. I haven't deleted or altered anything to hide anything i've said. I also don't privately comment to anyone about literally anything whatsoever, so whatever reason i've been banned is all available in my public reddit profile. i've even made some very pro-feminist comments lately. It's actually really pathetic. With the direction i'm going in, i…

tbh feminism isn't all that bad when it sticks to fixing the shit women suffer from. In some cases, feminism continues to promote women in ways that women already have more power than men. It's been a movement of "promote women" for so long, that they're trying to redefine what they represent, and it's honestly failing. Many modern feminists want to represent their movement as "promoting equality on behalf of everyone" and although I understand their intentions are good, the road to hell is pave…

I share your concerns, but for a different reason. Also i'm pretty damn sure i'm going to get downvoted to hell for saying this. First, I want to say that I know full well that the only people who become MRAs are those who have been hurt and victimized. Contrast that with feminism, and you soon realize what the MRM represents: men responding to a society that has personally hurt us and refuses to execute justice on our behalf. Second, I know full well there are a fuck ton of guys on here who are…

along the journey you will find some few amazing women who understand that men suffer, women who understand that the patriarchy is bullshit, women who understand that life isn't perfect for men. When you find such a woman, keep her around.

I have, and afaik it is true, for reported statistics, that is. Of course anyone who thinks about the issue of mental health for more than 30 seconds should realize that men aren't as likely to seek help for mental health treatment, so go figure those numbers are going to be off.

easy, affordable access to BC means fewer broken homes (which is very strongly correlated to poverty and adolescent developmental issues), and fewer people on welfare thus less money spent on welfare. The results take a few decades to fully realize themselves, but the implications are staggering. I am 100% in favor of affordable BC. Womens' claims of "oops, I got pregnant lol" would have less and less force than ever before when she has such easy access to it. We have a lot to gain and very litt…

My wife played soccer in high school. She loves the sport, even though she no longer plays. Whenever the world cup comes on, she always gets excited to watch the men play. When I asked about womens' world cup, she said it just isn't as exciting. She said they're slower and they aren't as strong, so watching isn't as fun. hmmmmm

Empathy is one of the keys to building a civilized society, and if that is shameful to my ancestors, then they can go fuck themselves. I feel truly sorry for you.

I understand you might need pseudonyms for the parties involved, but you don't need them for an attorney representing any party, especially when supposedly quoting him/her especially because attorney-client privilege basically means nothing short of some serious legal action could possibly force that lawyer to talk about privileged information he was made aware of while serving as the man's counsel.

I surely do hope you find a way to become more empathetic towards men and the things men suffer. It would do you a lot of good.

There is only one reason someone would find themselves a part of the MR movement, and it's because they have firsthand experienced or witnessed men being victims of a society that isn't protecting us from a dangerous anti-male cultural movement. Every single man on this sub has their own stories. go ahead, ask us. I sure as hell have stories to tell of my own. Most of us are/were victims ourselves. Some lucky few feel strongly about the subject because they have seen men they care about become v…

honestly one of the biggest issues with rape/sexual assault is that reports aren't made in a timely manner. It's not just video/audio/etc., it's about collaborating evidence and witnesses. It's about how well people remember who did what, and when. It's about the fact that if it isn't reported in a timely manner, sifting through the facts becomes a huge issue. The only way to address the issue is to simultaneously address the actual problem of rape, while addressing men's fears about false accus…

I don't think that feminism represents women's issues. well because we disagree on this premise then there really is no more for us to say to one another on the subject.
/r/MensRights13/10/18 09:43 PM

Then you clearly have a biased opinion. You see your perspective and you clearly have no empathy for women's issues or women's perspectives at all. If you did, you would understand that your position on the issue is a failure in progress.

empathizing with it requires either coming from the same position or merely imitating the result so with that same logic, in order to empathize with someone say, a schizophrenic, I need to either be schizophrenic or to imitate the symtoms of schizophrenia. That line of thought is so full of bullshit. You don't need to 'imitate' or 'become like' those you empathize with. You just need to be open-minded enough to try and understand their background, perspective, and feelings on the issue. i suppos…

well We both agree this video is toxic. we both agree that men need strong male leadership. We disagree with what constitutes 'strong male leadership'. The thing is, empathy is not about power. It is not about addressing men's rights. It's about getting women to take men seriously by showing women that men care about women's issues. You can't force others to change, so your perspective We do not need to empathize with women who believe it either, we need to put them right. is a forceful approach…

The fact that you feel that way shows me that you don't understand what I mean by empathy. Do you want to know what actually got us into this state? Everyone notices they're victims of prejudice and they retaliate with hatred. It's a pendulum of prejudice and the only answer is empathy. Empathy doesn't mean bending over backwards for women, and it doesn't mean being weak. It doesn't mean letting them grab more power. It means demonstrating that you understand their concerns. That's all it means.…

This is super fucking cringeworthy. These men aren't doing men's rights any favors. I sincerely believe that men should go out of our way to empathize with feminists, but without 'appeasing the female imperative'. It's possible, but must be done carefully. The key to ending the hate is empathy. on both sides. In lieu of empathy from both men and women, men demonstrating good faith by clearly showing empathy for women shows them that we want to meet them in the middle. We must demonstrate empathy…

use of the term completely ignores the fact that women contribute to "toxic masculinity". It completely ignores the fact that in some cases, men are even the primary victims of 'toxic masculinity'. It's a term coined by a bunch of women who are incapable of empathizing with what men go through on a day to day basis.

Sorry about your need to stoop so low. Is it that you are insecure or do you just not have faith in your opinion? Does it relate to not having a good father figure perhaps? well, the following is literally a perfect example of ad hominem: Is it that you are insecure or do you just not have faith in your opinion? feel free to look up the FBI statistics on crime in the USA. You would find that although blacks in america commit various different crimes at alarming rates, those numbers do not indicate that black commit any major type of crime at rates of 20x more than whites. Look up the FBI statistics on crime yourself. The data is all there and it is broken up by major race/gender lines, so you are able to cross-reference crime statistics by major subdemographic lines (white, black, hispanic, male, female…

No, I managed to be accurate. You think black men just as a matter of course, get a bunch of shit for being black? ok, where's your proof? actually yes, I do think that, and if you don't, then there's something seriously messed up with you. As OP proved in this very post, black men do in fact get more shit simply as a result of being black. My proof is in OP's post. You should try actually reading it.
/r/MensRights09/10/18 08:32 PM

No. They do NOT get shit because they're black. Claiming they do is no different than claiming women get shit because they're women. Wow, you managed to be both racist and sexist in one sentence. Good job, asshole. We aren't going to advance men's rights with jerks like you walking around spouting that kind of diatribe.
/r/MensRights09/10/18 05:31 PM

because white men suffer less discrimination than black men? because white men are less likely to be accused of rape/sexual assault? Because even though white men already have it bad, black men absolutely do have it worse?
/r/MensRights09/10/18 05:27 PM

I feel real bad for black men. They get shit because they're black, and they get shit because they're men. The worst thing is when society focuses on problems in black communities, some of those very issues should be primarily be seen as problems males suffer regardless of race, problems which black men simply suffer from even more. It's a really shitty situation and they aren't getting the help they need.

I want more than anything an end to both feminism and the MRM because they are no longer needed oh my god. I've found you. Another person, someone who feels exactly the same way I do. Do you self-identify as being politically moderate, perchance? It's a lonely, desolate place out there.

look mate... there are a few things in life that simply (by their very nature) don't allow for a truly equitable solution, and the biological differences between men and women is one of them. It's the same inequality that prevents special forces in the various armed forces from relaxing their entry requirements.... and it's because women just aren't strong enough when you need the best and strongest candidates available. You don't have to like it, but it's true, because a select few of the inequ…

sigh. You are mistakenly under the impression that I don't understand your position. Now that you have reiterated your position, let me clarify that I do indeed understand your position on the issue and that I never misunderstood you. Although I understand your desire to ensure health care subsidies are equitable, my suggestion is that you indicate a health care/hygiene subsidy for men that only men need as badly as women need feminine hygiene products. You named all sorts of things both men and…
/r/MensRights22/09/18 03:13 AM

those are all examples of hygiene supples both men and women use, which means that isn't an equitable example. So thanks for proving my point. edit: I'm not saying that I believe they should be subsidized. I'm trying to say that your argument isn't going to prove the point you want it to prove. Try another argument, but that one isn't going to work.
/r/MensRights21/09/18 08:57 PM

An equitable statement, to be sure. What kind of health care subsidy do men specifically need on a consistent bases, (something that is an essential and consistent hygiene issue) would you consider equitable?
/r/MensRights21/09/18 05:54 PM
2

The thing is he's right: there really is no comparable alternative for men. If we don't get free razors and shaving gel then it's not going to have an effect on my daily hygiene. Tampons are there to resolve a very disgusting and inherently unhygienic problem all women have to deal with.

Many women I know go out of their way to avoid appearing to be overtly abusive, so they end up doing lots of low-brow manipulation as part of the abuse in order to appear all the more innocent. In fact, i'd go as far as to say that manipulative tactics are the bread and butter their behavior.
